Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 1/1/10

Jan 2, 2010

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

Nate Robinson, New York Knicks
38 MIN, 41 PTS, 18-24 FG, 2-5 FT, 3 3PM, 6 REB, 8 AST, 1 STL, 4 TO
If you tell me you saw this coming, I’d call you a liar. Who knows if this will mean anything going forward, but when he gets a chance he can certainly produce in this offense. Don’t use him next week, but he’s worth grabbing  if you have someone you can drop.

Matt Barnes, Orlando Magic
35 MIN, 17 PTS, 6-10 FG, 5-6 FT, 11 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 3 TO
This was Barnes’ second straight game in double-figures.  He’s inconsistent so make him prove it before adding him.

Ryan Anderson, Orlando Magic
19 MIN, 16 PTS, 4-12 FG, 4-4 FT, 4 3PM, 1 REB, 1 AST, 4 STL, 1 TO
Anderson doesn’t play enough minutes to have fantasy value.

Wayne Ellington, Minnesota Timberwolves
21 MIN, 13 PTS, 5-6 FG, 1-1 FT, 2 3PM, 4 REB, 1 AST, 2 TO
He’s scored 13 in back-to-back games and is averaging 10.5 in his past four. Still, he’s not fantasy worthy.

Ime Udoka, Sacramento Kings
27 MIN, 13 PTS, 5-7 FG, 2-4 FT, 1 3PM, 5 REB, 3 AST, 1 TO
He’ll have the occasional solid game, but isn’t worthy anything more than a daily league plug-in.

Omri Casspi (23 points, 6 rebounds) and Beno Udrih (19 points, 13 assists) had nice games, but that has become expected of them.
