Dec 18, 2009

Before we get started, check out this week’s roundtable discussion on injured players that should provide dividends (click here to read the article). Be sure to take a look at next week’s NBA schedule as you prepare to set your lineup (click here for a look).

Now, here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

Chris Duhon, New York Knicks
44 MIN, 18 PTS, 5-12 FG, 3-4 FT, 5 3PM, 3 REB, 7 AST, 1 STL, 1 TO
He’s increased his assists of late, but what’s been even more impressive is the 19.3 points and 4.7 three-pointers he’s averaged over his past three games.

Taj Gibson, Chicago Bulls
29 MIN, 12 PTS, 6-11 FG, 10 REB, 1 STL, 2 BLK
Gibson is averaging 9.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in his last four games.

Dorell Wright, Miami Heat
26 MIN, 11 PTS, 5-9 FG, 1 3PM, 8 REB, 1 STL
Wright is averaging 14.3 points and 6.7 rebounds over his past three games.

Jerryd Bayless, Portland Trail Blazers
29 MIN, 29 PTS, 9-15 FG, 9-12 FT, 2 3PM, 3 REB, 4 AST, 2 TO
Huge outburst, but the signs are starting to show. Aside from all the injuries, his scoring has increased the past three games from 9 to 14 to 29. His minutes follow the same path 18 to 24 to 29. Given the Blazers injury list, he’s worth adding to you roster.

Martell Webster, Portland Trail Blazers
33 MIN, 15 PTS, 6-10 FG, 1-1 FT, 3 3PM, 7 REB, 1 AST, 2 STL, 1 BLK, 1 TO
He’s starting to show more consistency averaging 13.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.5 three-pointers in his last four games.
