Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 12/18/09

Dec 19, 2009

Before we get started, check out this week’s roundtable discussion on injured players that should provide dividends (click here to read the article). Be sure to take a look at next week’s NBA schedule as you prepare to set your lineup (click here for a look).

Now, here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

Amir Johnson, Toronto Raptors
19 MIN, 18 PTS, 7-10 FG, 4-8 FT, 7 REB, 2 STL, 2 BLK, 2 TO
It was his first double-figure game since November 25th.

Eric Maynor, Utah Jazz
27 MIN, 11 PTS, 4-5 FG, 2-3 FT, 1 3PM, 7 REB, 7 AST, 2 STL, 1 BLK, 2 TO
He’d only have value if Deron Williams went down.

Willie Green, Philadelphia 76ers
45 MIN, 16 PTS, 6-13 FG, 3-3 FT, 1 3PM, 4 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL, 1 BLK, 3 TO
Willie had a good game because Allen Iverson (knee) was out. Unless A.I. is out for an extended period, Willie doesn’t hold much value.

Ersan Ilyasova, Milwaukee Bucks
31 MIN, 18 PTS, 8-15 FG, 2 3PM, 7 REB, 1 AST, 2 STL, 1 BLK, 1 TO
Ersan is a must-own player averaging 17.8 points and 7.4 rebounds in his last five games.

Will Bynum, Detroit Pistons
25 MIN, 12 PTS, 6-9 FG, 4 REB, 6 AST, 1 STL, 1 TO
Bynum is beginning to recover from his ankle injury.

James Harden, Oklahoma City Thunder
26 MIN, 14 PTS, 5-11 FG, 2-2 FT, 2 3PM, 3 REB, 8 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK, 1 TO
Harden is very inconsistent, but worth having on your roster.

Kyle Lowry, Houston Rockets
39 MIN, 26 PTS, 8-13 FG, 7-9 FT, 3 3PM, 6 REB, 10 AST, 5 STL, 1 BLK, 2 TO
Monster game for Lowry. He picked up the scoring load from Carl Landry, who had an early exit because of three broken teeth.

Jose Juan Barea, Dallas Mavericks
35 MIN, 23 PTS, 8-15 FG, 4-5 FT, 3 3PM, 2 REB, 3 AST, 1 STL, 2 TO
Barea is playing really good basketball now and should be owned in most leagues. He’s averaging 15.4 points and 4.2 assists in his last five games.

Omri Casspi, Sacramento Kings
35 MIN, 21 PTS, 7-14 FG, 6-8 FT, 1 3PM, 3 REB, 1 AST, 2 STL, 2 TO
Casspi is on fire averaging 17.2 points over his last five games.

Corey Brewer, Minnesota Timberwolves
33 MIN, 20 PTS, 9-16 FG, 2-4 FT, 5 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL
Brewer is averaging 15.2 points over his last five games.

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
46 MIN, 27 PTS, 9-17 FG, 4-4 FT, 5 3PM, 8 REB, 4 AST, 3 STL, 2 TO
He’s on fire over his past four games averaging 17 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 3.8 steals, and 2.3 three pointers.

Anthony Randolph, Golden State Warriors
36 MIN, 15 PTS, 6-13 FG, 3-4 FT, 9 REB, 5 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK, 5 TO
Randolph is averaging 13.7 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists over his past three games.
