Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 12/30/09

Dec 31, 2009

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

Anderson Varejao, Cleveland Cavaliers
33 MIN, 14 PTS, 6-8 FG, 1-3 FT, 1 3PM, 9 REB, 3 BLK
Varejao showed some of the scoring touch he had earlier in the year. Time will tell if he’ll continue it, but he has been tough on the boards averaging 8.2 over his past five games.

Luther Head, Indiana Pacers
40 MIN, 30 PTS, 10-19 FG, 6-6 FT, 4 3PM, 7 REB, 1 AST, 2 STL, 1 BLK, 4 TO
Head had a major outburst tonight, but his last four point totals have been 19, 9, 10, and 30. He is worth keeping an eye on.

Roy Hibbert, Indiana Pacers
30 MIN, 25 PTS, 8-14 FG, 9-10 FT, 13 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK, 4 TO
Hibbert is heating up. He’s liable to go cold quickly so use him while he’s hot.

Luke Ridnour, Milwaukee Bucks
21 MIN, 16 PTS, 7-10 FG, 2 3PM, 4 REB, 1 AST, 2 TO

Jason Williams, Orlando Magic
25 MIN, 16 PTS, 5-7 FG, 1-2 FT, 5 3PM, 1 REB, 7 AST, 1 STL, 1 TO
Williams only has value if Jameer Nelson goes down. That said, he still has the talent to have games like this from time to time. He’s best used in daily leagues if you’re looking for three-pointers and assists.

Chris Douglas-Roberts, New Jersey Nets
37 MIN, 17 PTS, 8-15 FG, 1-2 FT, 5 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL, 2 TO
CDR returned from his ankle injury and played well. Get him back in your lineups. Yi owners, take note that he still played well with the full aresenal.
Quentin Richardson, Miami Heat

Tony Allen, Boston Celtics

32 MIN, 20 PTS, 6-14 FG, 6-6 FT, 2 3PM, 5 REB, 3 AST, 3 STL, 2 TO
