Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 1/1/11

Jan 2, 2011

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

J.J. Hickson, Cleveland Cavaliers
Hickson scored 21 points (9-16 FG, 3-4 FT) with 8 rebounds, a steal, and 2 blocks. He picked up his game with Anderson Varejao out. Unfortunately he’s day-to-day.
Sasha Vujacic & Travis Outlaw, New Jersey Nets
Vujacic scored 22 points (9-16 FG, 1-2 FT, 3-7 3PM) with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and a steal. He’s averaging 11.6 points and 2.0 three-pointers in his past five games. Outlaw added 17 points (6-14 FG, 3-4 FT, 2-6 3PM) with 4 rebounds and a steal. He’s averaging 13.8 points in his past four games.
Jason Thompson, Sacramento Kings
Thompson scored 17 points (8-9 FG, 1-3 FT) with 7 rebounds, an assist, and a steal in his second game back. He had one point in his last game so he’s a risky add right now.
Jose Juan Barea, Dallas Mavericks
Barea scored 29 points (11-21 FG, 6-6 FT, 1-4 3PM) for the short-handed Mavs with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. The outburst came out of nowhere so it’s hard to trust.
Earl Boykins, Milwaukee Bucks
Boykins scored 26 points (9-16 FG, 7-8 FG, 1-5 3PM) with 3 rebounds and 6 assists. He’s averaging 20.0 points in his past four games.
