Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 11/19/10

Nov 20, 2010

.
Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
.
Thaddeus Young, Philadelphia 76ers
Young scored 23 points (8-13 FG, 7-8 FT) with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. He’s averaging 15.4 points and 4.8 rebounds in his past five games.
.
JaVale McGee, Washington Wizards
McGee had a double-double (10 points, 12 rebounds) making 4 of 7 shots from the floor and both of his free throw attempts. He added 2 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. He’s averaging 8.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3. 0 blocks in his past five games.
.
Kyle Lowry, Houston Rockets
Lowry scored 11 points (3-9 FG, 4-4 FT, 1-1 3PM) with 7 rebounds, 12 assists, and 2 steals. He’s averaging 7.2 assists over his past five games.
.
Shane Battier, Houston Rockets
Battier scored 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-6 3PM) with 6 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal, and 2 blocks. He doesn’t score much, but he is a great contributor in the defensive categories.
.
Linas Kleiza, Toronto Raptors
Kleiza scored 17 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 FT, 1-3 3PM) with 4 rebounds and a steal. He remains an inconsistent scoring option.
.
Matt Barnes, Los Angeles Lakers
While Ron Artest continued to struggle, Barnes scored 24 points (7-7 FG, 5-5 FT, 5-5 3PM) with 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. He doesn’t get enough opportunities, but games like this could help. Do consider he played against Minnesota, whose defense is in hibernation.
.
Darko Milicic, Minnesota Timberwolves
Milicic made Joe Dumars look like a genius, at least for one day. He scored 23 (10-18 FG. 3-3 FT) with 16 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 6 blocks. He may not be worthy of fantasy rosters just yet, bu the has averaged 4.0 blocks over his past four games.
.
Taj Gibson, Chicago Bulls
Mr. Inconsistency had a whale of a game scoring 17 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 FT, 1-1 3PM) with 18 rebounds, an assist, and a block. He combined for 11 points in his previous three games.
.
Kris Humphries, New Jersey Nets
Humphries scored 18 points (9-12 FG) with 10 rebounds, 2 rare assists, and a steal. He’s been up and down with his scoring, but is averaging 12.4 rebounds in his past five games.
.
Reggie Williams, Golden State Warriors
Williams scored 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 FT, 4-5 3PM) with 5 rebounds. While some of his performance can be attributed to playing the Knicks, he has averaged 12.4 points in his past five games.
