Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 12/8/10

Dec 9, 2010

.
Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
.
Ty Lawson, J.R. Smith & Arron Afflalo, Denver Nuggets
Lawson scored 24 points (9-14 FG, 6-7 FT) with 2 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals. His production was out of the norm with Chauncey Billups in the lineup. Smith scored 16 points (7-18 FG, 2-4 3PM) with 5 rebounds and a steal. He’s averaging 17.7 points in his past six games. Afflalo also scored 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 FT, 2-2 3PM) with 4 rebounds and a steal. He’s averaging 14.2 points in his past five games.
.
Glen Davis, Boston Celtics
Big Baby scored 16 points (4-10 FG, 8-12 FT) with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. He’s averaging 14.2 points in his past five games.
.
DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors
DeRozan scored 19 points (6-11 FG, 7-8 FT) with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block. He’s averaging 14.4 points in his past five games.
.
Marco Belinelli, New Orleans Hornets
Belinelli scored 22 points (8-12 FG, 2-2 FT, 407 FT) with 2 assists. He’s not productive enough to get too excited about.
.
Ersan Ilyasova, Milwaukee Bucks
Ilyasova scored 21 points (7-14 FG, 7-8 FT) with10 rebounds and 3 assists. If he starts to get more playing time, grab him in a heartbeat.
.
Nikola Pekovic, Minnesota Timberwolves
Pekovic scored 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 FT) with 3 rebounds, an assist, a steal, and 3 blocks. He has not been what the Wolves anticipated.
.
Reggie Williams, Golden State Warriors
Williams exploded for 31 points (11-16 FG, 1-2 FT, 8-10 3PM) with 2 rebounds and 2 assists. This came after going scoreless in 12 minutes last night. He could be in for a nice boost if Stephen Curry’s ankle keeps him out for any time.
.
DeJuan Blair, San Antonio Spurs
Blair took advantage of facing Golden State with 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-6 FT) 13 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. He’s averaging 10.2 points and 7.8 rebounds in  his past five games.
.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Miami Heat
Z scored 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-2 FT) with 10 rebounds, an assist, and a steal. He had a total of 8 points in his previous four games. He’s not a fantasy option.
.
Goran Dragic & Hedo Turkoglu, Phoenix Suns
Dragic scored 17 points (7-15 FG, 2-2 FT, 1-6 3PM) with 3 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal, and a block. He’s done little on the year. Turkoglu scored 15 points (6-10 FG,3-6 3PM) with 7 rebounds, an assist, a steal, and 2 blocks. Phoenix seems to have different players step up on different nights, making it hard to rely on them.
.
Beno Udrih & Jason Thompson, Sacramento Kings
Udrih scored 23 points (6-9 FG, 8-10 FT, 3-4 3PM) with 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Thompson added 22 points (10-15 FG, 2-2 FT) with 14 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and 2 blocks. Both are key members of the Kings’ rotation (for now) so ride them while they’re hot.
