Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 1/8/11

Jan 9, 2011

.
Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
.
Mike Bibby, Atlanta Hawks
Bibby scored 15 points (4-7 FG, 3-3 FT, 4-6 3PM) with a rebound, an assist, and 2 steals. He has struggled of late so it was good to see him regain his scoring touch.
.
Ersan Ilyasova, Earl Boykins & Chris Douglas-Roberts, Milwaukee Bucks
Ilyasova scored 22 points (10-14 FG, 2-3 FT) with 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and a block. His huge game came in Andrew Bogut’s absence so don’t get super excited, but he should probably still be owned in most leagues. Boykins scored 17 points (7-12 FG, 2-2 FT, 1-4 3PM) with a rebound and 6 assists. He’s averaging 15.0 points in his past five games. CD-R scored 24 points (9-14 FG, 5-5 FT, 1-4 3PM) with 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. He had 30 points the night before, but a little more consistency would help his cause.
.
Jordan Farmar, New Jersey Nets
Farmar filled in for Devin Harris and scored 20 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 FT, 3-5 3PM) with 2 rebounds and 10 assists. He’s a nice short-term play as long as Harris is out.
.
Gerald Henderson, Charlotte Bobcats
Henderson scored 19 points (8-11 FG, 3-4 FT) with 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. I almost forgot he still existed.
.
Evan Turner, Philadelphia 76ers
Turner scored 19 points (7-11 FG, 4-4 FT, 1-1 3PM) with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. He has talent, but he’s just not living up to expectations right now.
.
Greg Monroe & Austin Daye, Detroit Pistons
Monroe scored 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-6 FT) with 13 rebounds and 3 steals. He’s averaging 15.0 points and 12.0 rebounds. Daye added 15 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT, 3-4 3PM) with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal. He’s averaging 10.0 points in his past five games.
.
DeShawn Stevenson & Shawn Marion, Dallas Mavericks
Stevenson scored 24 points (8-13 FG, 2-2 FT, 6-9 3PM) with a rebound and 2 assists. He’s averaging 19.3 points in his past four games. Marion added 18 points (7-11 FG, 4-4 FT) with 8 rebounds.Ride them while they’re hot and the Mavs are short-handed.
.
C.J. Miles, Utah Jazz
Miles scored 16 points (6-11 FG,2-2 FT, 2-5 3PM) with 5 rebounds. He’s way too inconsistent.
