Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 2/11/11

Feb 12, 2011

.
Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
.
Nikola Pekovic, Minnesota Timberwolves
Pekovic scored 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-3 FT) with 6 rebounds filling in for Darko (hip). He will have to show more before you should consider adding him.
.
Dahntay Jones, Indiana Pacers
Jones scored 19 points (6-7 FG, 5-6 FT, 2-2 3PM) with a rebound and 2 assists. He’s averaging 12.5 points in his past four games, but he’s still not playing over 20 minutes a night.
.
Willie Green, New Orleans Hornets
Green scored 24 points (10-20 FG, 1-1 FT, 3-7 3PM) with 2 rebounds, an assist, and a steal. He’s averaging 21.5 points in his past two games, both starts.
.
Rudy Fernandez, Portland Trail Blazers
Fernandez scored 23 points (8-11 FG, 1-1 FT, 6-8 3PM) with a rebound, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He’s averaging 19.3 points in his past four games.
.
Jerryd Bayless, Toronto Raptors
Bayless scored 18 points (6-11 FG, 2-2 FT, 4-5 3PM) with an assist. I’m not ready to endorse him just yet.
.
Kris Humphries, New Jersey Nets
Humphries scored 15 points (5-10 FG, 5-7 FT) with 14 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block. He’s averaging 11.4 points and 10.6 rebounds in his past five games.
.
Austin Daye, Detroit Pistons
Daye scored 18 points (6-13 FG, 3-4 FT, 3-6 3PM) with 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He’s too inconsistent for fantasy purposes.
.
Sam Young, Memphis Grizzlies
Young scored 19 points (7-10 FG, 5-6 FT) with 8 rebounds. He’s averaging 16.2 points in his past five games.
.
Hakim Warrick, Phoenix Suns
Warrick scored 16 points ( 6-8 FG, 4-6 FT) with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal. He’s kind of been the forgotten man in Phoenix so I’d wouldn’t pick him up just yet.
.
C.J. Miles, Utah Jazz
Miles scored 19 points (8-19 FG, 3-8 3PM) with 6 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal, and 2 blocks. He would be a solid option if the move to the starting rotation is permanent.
