Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 3/2/11

Mar 3, 2011

.
Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
.
George Hill, San Antonio Spurs
I  figured Hill would get a boost when Tony Parker went down. I was a little nervous when he scored just six points on Tuesday night. Last night he scored 22 points (8-15 FG, 5-5 FT, 1-4 3PM) with five rebounds and five assists, which is more like it. There should be fantasy value for Gary Neal, who scored 14 points with five rebounds, too.
.
Alonzo Gee and Samardo Samuels, Cleveland Cavaliers
Gee scored 18 points (6-13 FG, 4-4 FT, 2-3 3PM) with seven rebounds, two assists, and a steal. I’d have to see more from him to add him. Samuels added 23 points (10-18 FG, 3-5 FT) with ten rebounds and three assists. He’s averaging 12.3 points in his past four games.
.
Jared Dudley, Phoenix Suns
Dudley scored 15 points (4-8 FG, 5-8 FT, 2-3 3PM) with five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block. He’s averaging 11.4 points and 2.0 steals in his past five games.
.
Glen Davis, Boston Celtics
Big Baby scored 14 points (5-13 FG, 4-6 FT) with eight rebounds. He hurt his knee in the game, which concerns me. Plus, he’s going to take a hit when Troy Murphy works his way into the rotation.
.
Anthony Randolph and Lazar Hayward, Minnesota Timberwolves
Randolph scored 19 points (8-13 FG, 3-5 FT) with ten rebounds and a steal. This performance could lead to more playing time. Hayward added 16 points (5-7 FG, 4-6 FT, 2-4 3PM) with two rebounds and an assist. He’s not a fantasy option.
.
Jarrett Jack, New Orleans Hornets
Jack scored 21 points (8-13 FG, 5-7 FT) with five rebounds and two assists. He’s averaging 13.2 points in his past five games.
.
Toney Douglas and Shawne Williams, New York Knicks
Douglas scored 24 points (10-13 FG, 4-6 3PM) with four rebounds, five assists, and a steal. He’s a decent plug-in play while Chauncey Billups (thigh) is out. Williams added 16 points (6-8 FG, 4-6 3PM) with four rebounds, two assists, and a block. He’s not a fantasy option.
.
James Harden, Oklahoma City Thunder
Harden scored 20 points (6-14 FG, 7-7 FT, 1-6 3PM) with a rebound, two assists, a steal, and a block. He’s averaging 17.0 points in his past five games.
.
Matt Carroll, Charlotte Bobcats
Carroll scored 19 points (6-11 FG, 5-5 FT, 2-3 3PM) with two rebounds. He’s not a fantasy option.
.
Marcus Thornton, Sacramento Kings
Thornton scored 26 points (11-18 FG, 4-7 3PM) with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals. He’s averaging 21.0 points per game since coming over from New Orleans.
.
Courtney Lee, Houston Rockets
Lee scored 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-2 FT, 2-5 3PM) with a rebound and three assists. He’s averaging 12.6 points in his past five games.
