Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 3/21/11

Mar 22, 2011

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
Brandon Bass, Orlando Magic
Bass scored 22 points (9-10 FG, 4-8 FT) with six rebounds, two steals, and a block. He’s averaging 13.4 points in his past five games.
Daniel Gibson, Cleveland Cavaliers
Gibson scored 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3PM) with three rebounds, six assists, two steals, and a block. He’s averaging 11.8 points in his past five games.
Sundiata Gaines, New Jersey Nets
Gaines scored 18 points (6-11 FG, 5-7 FT, 1-2 3PM) with six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. He’s not a fantasy option.
Keith Bogans and Kyle Korver, Chicago Bulls
Bogans scored 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3PM) with two rebounds, fours assist, and three steals. Korver added 18 points (7-11 FG, 4-5 3PM) with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. I don’t expect the Bulls to score 132 points very frequently, just like I don’t expect this duo to have consistent fantasy relevance.
Tiago Splitter, San Antonio Spurs
Splitter scored ten points (5-8 FG) with 14 rebounds, two assists, and three steals. If Tim Duncan’s ankle keeps him out of action, Splitter could be in line for additional production. Keep an eye on him because he could have some fantasy value.
J.R. Smith, Denver Nuggets
Smith scored 13 points (4-11 FG, 3-5 FT, 2-8 3PM) with ten rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. He’s averaging 18.8 points in his past five games.
