Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 3/23/11

Mar 24, 2011

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
Sasha Vujacic and Travis Outlaw, New Jersey Nets
Vujacic scored 18 points (7-14 FG, 4-9 3PM) with five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Outlaw added 17 points (6-13 FG, 5-6 FT) with six rebounds and three assists. I don’t like either as fantasy options.
Marvin Williams, Atlanta Hawks
Williams scored 16 points (5-10 FG, 6-6 FT) with four rebounds and two assists. He’s averaging 12.6 points in his past five games.
Jodie Meeks, Philadelphia 76ers
Meeks scored 15 points (5-6 3PM) with three rebounds and an assist. He’s averaging 15.6 points in his past five games.
Kwame Brown and Shaun Livingston, Charlotte Bobcats
Brown scored 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-7 FT) with nine rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block. Livingston added 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-4 FT) with three rebounds, four assists, and a steal. Neither are good fantasy options.
Carlos Delfino, Milwaukee Bucks
Delfino scored 30 points (12-20 FG, 1-2 FT, 5-9 3PM) with two rebounds, an assist, and four steals. He’s on fire. Ride him while he’s hot.
Brandon Bass, Orlando Magic
Bass scored 15 points (3-9 FG, 9-9 FT) with seven rebounds, an assist, two steals, and a block. He’s averaging 16.7 points and 7.0 rebounds in his past three games.
Toney Douglas, New York Knicks
Douglas bounced back with 17 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 3PM) with five rebounds and an assist. He remains a solid fantasy option.
Courtney Lee, Houston Rockets
Lee scored 25 points (10-16 FG, 5-8 3PM) with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Before you go wild picking him up, realize he played Golden State. With his outburst he’s still averaging just 9.2 points in his past five games.
Aaron Brooks, Phoenix Suns
Brooks scored 25 points (9-16 FG, 3-4 FT, 4-7 3PM) with four rebounds, eight assists, and three steals. That’s 40 points in two games for Brooks.
Antonio McDyess and Gary Neal, San Antonio Spurs
McDyess scored 13 points (4-11 FG, 5-6 FT) with 12 rebounds, an assist, and a block. He has some added value while Tim Duncan is out. Neal added 25 points (9-15 FG, 1-2 FT, 6-8 3PM) with five rebounds. He isn’t nearly as productive while Tony Parker was out, but has his moments.
Al Harrington, Denver Nuggets
Harrington scored 27 points (8-12 FG, 6-9 FG, 5-6 3PM) with three rebounds, two assists, and a steal. He hasn’t been involved much recently, but he’s certainly has potential.
Yi Jianlian, Washington Wizards
Jianlian scored 18 points (9-14 FG) with seven rebounds, an assist, and two steals. He hasn’t been much of a fantasy option, but he got the start in this one. Keep an eye on him.
