Fantasy Basketball: Week 11 Schedule

Jan 1, 2010

Happy New Year’s. Here’s a look at the Week 11 NBA schedule as you prepare to set your fantasy lineup.

Four Games
Atlanta Hawks
:  @MIA, vs. NJ, vs. BOS, @ORL
Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford, Al Horford, and Josh Smith are locks. Mike Bibby is a nice source for assists and three-pointers. Marvin Williams can help you on the glass, hit the occasional three, and add a few steals and blocks.Zaza Pachulia was rebounding well in early December, but has struggled of late. Maurice Evans was hot in mid-December, but has disappeared.

Chicago Bulls:  vs. OKC, @CHA, @MIL, vs. MIN
Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, and Joakim Noah are locks. John Salmons and Kirk Hinrich have been inconsistent, but merit consideration this week. Now that Tyrus Thomas is back, you can use him as well, though that probably kills Brad Miller and Taj Gibson’s values.

Los Angeles Lakers:  vs. HOU, @LAC, @POR, vs. MIL
Go ahead and use Kobe, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, and Ron Artest. Derek Fisher can be used in daily transaction leagues for a boost in assists.
Memphis Grizzlies:  @POR, @UTA, vs. UTA, @CHA
Zach Randolph, Rudy Gay, Marc Gasol, O.J. Mayo, and Mike Conley are all solid options. Sam Young is spotty at best, but can be used in daily leagues.

Miami Heat:  vs. ATL, vs. BOS, @PHX, @LAC
Dwyane Wade, Michael Beasley, Jermaine O’Neal, Quentin Richardson, and Udonis Haslem are good choices this week. Mario Chalmers can give you a boost in assists and steals. Dorrell Wright has played decently of late and can be used in daily leagues.

New Jersey Nets:  vs. MIL, @ATL, @NO, @SA
Brook Lopez and Devin Harris have to be in your lineup. Yi Jianlian has played great since coming back from injury. Courtney Lee is a nice option as well. Chris Douglas-Roberts’ ankle will likely keep him on your bench.

New Orleans Hornets:  @UTA, @OKC, vs. NJ, @WAS
Chris Paul, David West, Peja Stojakovic, and Emeka Okafor are no-brainers. Devin Brown has played well of late and should be considered, especially in daily leagues.

Orlando Magic:  @IND, vs. TOR, @WAS, vs. ATL
Dwight Howard, Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis, and Jameer Nelson are your must-plays. Mickael Pietrus can be used in daily leagues (preferably Indiana & Washington) for some scoring.

Portland Trail Blazers:  @LAC, vs. MEM, vs. LAL, vs. CLE
The banged up Blazers still offer fantasy goodies. Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Andre Miller are your top choices. Martell Webster is inconsistent, but can be used. Steve Blake will provide you three-pointers and Juwan Howard will help you on the glass.

Utah Jazz:  vs. NO, vs. MEM, @MEM, @DAL
Carlos Boozer, Deron Williams, Mehmet Okur, Andrei Kirilenko, and Paul Millsap are the top choices. You can use Ronnie Brewer or C.J. Miles in the flex spot.

Washington Wizards:  @PHI, @CLE, vs. ORL, vs. NO
Antawn Jamison, Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler, and Brendan Haywood have been money. Randy Foye, Nick Young, and Andray Blatche are decent options for daily leagues.

Three Games
Boston Celtics
:  @MIA, @ATL, @TOR
Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett, and Kendrick Perkins are the obvious choices. Paul Pierce will likely miss this road trip as well. Tony Allen has some value if that’s the case. Rasheed Wallace will give your some points, rebounds, blocks, and three-pointers. Eddie House can be used in daily transaction leagues if you need three-pointers.

Charlotte Bobcats:  vs. CHI, @NY, vs. MEM
Gerald Wallace, Stephen Jackson, and Raymond Felton are your no-brainers. Boris Diaw is in a funk and should probably be avoided. Nazr Mohammed has been decent with Tyson Chandler out. Flip Murray can be used in daily leagues if you need some scoring.

Cleveland Cavaliers:  vs. WAS, @DEN, @POR
Use that LeBron fella. Mo Williams is a strong play as well. The rest make up a mixed bag. Shaq, Anderson Varejao, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas will give your boards and blocks. Delonte West is unpredictable, but could be a decent source for steals and assists. Jamario Moon does a little bit of everything. Perhaps you can plug in him in daily leagues. The Washington game would be your best bet.

Dallas Mavericks:  vs. DET, @SA, vs. UTA
The Mavs have a bunch of solid options. Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, Erick Dampier, Josh Howard, Shawn Marion, and Jose Juan Barea can all be used.Drew Gooden is inconsistent, but can be used in daily leagues.

Denver Nuggets:  vs. GS, vs. CLE, @SAC
Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith, Nene, and Kenyon Martin are obvious choices. If Chauncey Billups (groin) can get healthy, he should be used. If not, Ty Lawson has some value. Chris Andersen can give you some boards and blocks. Arron Afflalo is an inconsistent scorer that can be used in daily leagues.

Detroit Pistons:  @DAL, @SA, vs. PHI
Roll with Rodney Stuckey. You can also use Rip Hamilton, Ben Gordon, and Charlie Villanueva if they are healthy. Will Bynum can put up some numbers off the bench. Ben Wallace and Jonas Jerebko can provide some rebounds and scoring.

Golden State Warriors:  @DEN, @MIN, vs. SAC
Monta Ellis has been a machine. Corey Maggette is playing good basketball. Anthony Randolph has played better of late. Stephen Curry, Anthony Morrow, and C.J. Watson are utility options. If Andris Biedrins is healthy, he can be gambled on.

Houston Rockets:  @LAL, @PHX, vs. NY
I like the last two match-ups. Luis Scola, Aaron Brooks, Trevor Ariza, and Carl Landry are nice options. Kyle Lowry (assists), Chuck Hayes (rebounds), and Shane Battier (a bit of everything) can be used for your flex spots.

Indiana Pacers:  vs. ORL, @MIN, @OKC
Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy are the top choices. Tyler Hansbrough has been playing better of late. Roy Hibbert is inconsistent, but can give you points, boards, and blocks. Brandon Rush, Dahntay Jones, Earl Watson, and T.J. Ford are really only useful in daily leagues right now.

Los Angeles Clippers:  vs. POR, vs. LAL, vs. MIA
Chris Kaman, Eric Gordon, and Baron Davis are solid choices. Marcus Camby is a must-start if he’s healthy. Check his status before setting your lineup. Rasual Butler has played well of late, and worth considering for a utility slot. Al Thornton (toe) should be healthy and worth consideration as well.

Milwaukee Bucks:  @NJ, vs. CHI, @LAL
Brandon Jennings, Andrew Bogut, and Ersan Ilyasova are nice options. Michael Redd is a little dicey, but worth the gamble. Luke Ridnour contributes in most categories and is a decent flex play. Hakim Warrick is inconsistent, but a solid choice in daily leagues.

Minnesota Timberwolves:  vs. GS, vs. IND, @CHI
With Golden State and Indiana on the schedule, it’s almost like four games for the Wolves this week.Feel free to use Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Jonny Flynn, and Corey Brewer. Ryan Gomes can be used if healthy. Ramon Sessions is a decent option in daily leagues.

Oklahoma City Thunder:  @CHI, vs. NO, vs. IND
Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Jeff Green are your best options. James Harden and Nenad Krstic are decent options. Thabo Sefolosha, Nick Collison, or Serge Ibaka can be used if you need rebounding help.

Philadelphia 76ers:  vs. WAS, vs. TOR, @DET
Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young, Elton Brand, and Marreese Speights are solid options. Samuel Dalembert  took a step back with his scoring, but is still pounding the glass. Lou Williams and Allen Iverson are decent options as well.

Phoenix Suns:  @SAC, vs. HOU, vs. MIA
Roll out Amar’e Stoudemire, Steve Nash, Jason Richardson, Grant Hill, and Channing Frye. Jared Dudley has also been playing well of late and should be considered.

Sacramento Kings:  vs. PHX, @GS, vs. DEN
The first two games should stuff your fantasy lines. Tyreke Evans, Beno Udrih, and Jason Thompson should be rock solid. Andres Nocioni, Omri Casspi, Spencer Hawes, and Donte Greene are possible choices as well.

San Antonio Spurs:  vs. DET, vs. DAL, vs. NJ
Tim Duncan, Richard Jefferson, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili are solid choices. DeJuan Blair is playing well as the starter and can help your rebounding category. Roger Mason and George Hill are low-end Utility options.

Toronto Raptors:  @ORL, @PHI, vs. BOS
Chris Bosh, Andrea Bargnani, and Hedo Turkoglu are every week starters. Jarrett Jack is a nice option as long as Jose Calderon (hip) is out. Amir Johnson can give you a lift in rebounds, but I’d only use him in daily leagues.

Two Games
New York Knicks
:  vs. CHA, @HOU
With so many teams playing three games this week, you can still roll out select Knicks. Al Harrington, David Lee, Danilo Gallinari, and Wilson Chandler are the recommended plays. Chris Duhon can be used if you’re looking for assists.

Four Games
Atlanta Hawks
:  @MIA, vs. NJ, vs. BOS, @ORL
Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford, Al Horford, and Josh Smith are locks. Mike Bibby is a nice source for assists and three-pointers.
