How did Week 9 go for you?  Did you survive the bye week?

I’m in six leagues so I’ll recap each one.

KFFL Analysis League - I got decent run from Trent Edwards, MJD, Kevin Faulk, Housh, Donald Driver, Chris Cooley, and Matt Bryant.  Jamal didn’t do much.  I faced McNabb, Antonio Byant, Braylon Edwards, and Gonzo.  I was able to win to keep my playoff hopes alive.
Record:  4-5

Cage Match League (The Legend vs. Awesome) - Little wimpy Awesome didn’t show up to play.  LT was left in despite being on bye.  Witten was in the lineup.  MB3, Brandon Marshall, Randy Moss, and Tampa D stuck.  Meanwhile I threw Kurt Warner, AP, Owen Daniels and a bunch of others who didn’t score less than 8.
Record:  6-3

LEV League - Gus Frerotte, Steve Slaton, Ronnie Brown, Matt Bryant, and Arizona D were solid.  I faced Brandon Jacobs, Derrick Mason, Mason Crosby and Baltimore D.  I was able to win while my top QB (Rivers) was on bye.
Record:  5-4

Fantasy Sports Depot League - Calvin Johnson, Steve Slaton, Matt Bryant, and Terrell Suggs were solid.  I faced Jeff Garcia.  I finally got some results for my high-scoring ways.
Record:  4-5

My Keeper League -  Peyton Manning. Thomas Jones, Owen Daniels, and Owen Daniels were solid for mw.  Fitz let me down.  Steve Breaston, Kris Brown, and Tampa D stunk.  I faced Jacobs, Calvin Johnson, Bulger, and Forte.  I lost, but actually stayed in the playoff hunt as nobody seems to want the 4th playoff slot.
Record:  3-6

No Kicker League -  I had a strong showing in this league.  Kurt Warner and Arizona D tore it up.  Slaton, Wayne, Fitz, and Westbrook were decent.  I faced Eli, Michael TurnerHolt, and Balt D.  I was able to pull of the W.
Record:  7-2

Weekly Record:  5-1
Season Record:  29-25

That’s how my weekend of fantasy football went. How did you do?

I went 5-1 this week and was able to add to my division lead with one of my “serious” teams, and stayed in a tie for 1st in the other two. All in all, I had a pretty solid week.

I finally won a game in my own FSD league last week! The injuries to my team have been too much to overcome this year, but I’m still trying in that league though. I’ve been a bit preoccupied to keep up with my other teams. You still have a shot at the playoffs in that league yourself.

David – That is the weird league for me this year. Last week I was the top scorer, but the 8th seed. Crazy.

Last year, str8change(Lightning strikes twice) won the league, and he was third from the bottom in total points. He even finished first in overall record, and won the playoffs, too. I went 7-7, and finished like fourth in points, but missed the playoffs on a tiebreaker. So this seems like a trend.

I’ve had years when I’ve been high in points and low and vice versa, but never #1 and 8th. That’s nuts.

To finish #1 in points and be the 8th seed is definitely bizarre. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that…but I’m sure something like that will happen to me eventually.

It’s not over yet. I moved up to 7 last week with a matchup of someone a half game ahead of me. I could leapfrog into a playoff spot. Just crazy bad luck.

Took your advice and benched Hightower for S. Jackson and start Garrard over A. Rodgers and Farve. Jackson got me 1 point. Garrard exploded for 6. But I’d have lost anyway as my whole team tanked.

Good news is I’m only one game out of second place in my division with a 3-6-0 record.

My other two teams are 8-1-0 and looking good with no more byes to adjust for.

Strange thing is that all three teams have the least points scored against them in each league. One team is second in scoring, one third. My struggling team is like 6th in a ten team league. With Portis and Jackson at RB.

Yikes. I feel terrible. Hightower should be solid this week and all three QBs have good matchups.

If it helps the same thing happened to me. I was debating between Breaston and Santonio Holmes. Leaning towards Holmes because of redememption angle. I solicited advice and they said go with Breaston. I listened and lost by a dang point. Sometimes you have to go with you gut I think.
