Fantasy Football Profile: DeSean Jackson
DeSean Jackson had a brilliant start to his NFL career with back-to-back 100+ yard games. Unfortunately he did not crack the century mark again, but he finished with a solid 62 catches for 912 yards and 2 TDs. Consistency wasn’t his strength though, judging by his nine games with fewer than 70 yards. He topped 9 fantasy points just six times. In the Eagles last two playoff games he averaged five receptions for 86.5 yard and 0.5 TDs. Though he should continue to develop as a second-year player, I have to lower my expectations because the Birds drafted Jeremy Maclin.
I still figure Jackson to be a decent WR2 and a solid WR3. He’ll likely be the 18th-20th WR selected, somewhere in the 6th or 7th round. He should catch 70 passes for 950 yards and 5 TDs. He’ll add another 60 or so yards on the ground.
