There are always guys that are hot right out of the gate. The question is whether they are going to keep it up or are they going to come back to Earth? Here are some guys to grab while they are hot.
Rashad McCants - McCants is averaging 17 ppg this year. Last week he was good for 19.7 ppg & 5.0 rpg, including a career high 33 against Sacrament. Randy Foye won’t be back any time soon, so McCants is pretty solid. Qualifies as both PG & SG. Morris Peterson – Averaged 14.8 points with 5.3 boards last week while shooting 50% from the field and not missing a free throw. Plus, he made three 3-pointers per game. He also qualifies as a forward in most leagues.F
Al Horford - The rookie is averaging 8.8 ppg and 10.6 rpg while shooting 50% from the field and blocking 1.8 shots per game. Last week he stepped up to 9.7 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 2.7 bpg, and 55% from the field. Also qualifies as a Center in most leagues.
Chris Wilcox - Wilcox is off to a sensational start for Seattle. He’s averaging 16.2 ppg and 7.9 rpg while shooting 54.2% from the floor and 75.5% from the line. Also qualifies as a Center in most leagues.
DeSagana Diop – He won’t score a lick, but if you need help on the boards, Diop is your guy. He’s averaging 5.2 ppg, 8.9 rpg, and 2.4 bpg while shooting 57% from the floor. He grabbed double digit rebounds in four of his last six games.
