Fantasy Hoops Waiver Wire Bin Vol. 4

Nov 27, 2007

I scoured the fantasy baskeball waiver wires to find gems so you don’t have to.

G
Antonio Daniels - Gilbert Arenas is on the shelf for 3 months with a knee injury.  While Daniels can’t match his play or charisma, he did average 12.8 points, 5.6 rebounds,  7.0 assists, and 2.o steals per game.  He also shot 48.8% from the field and 81.8% from the line.

Jose Calderon - Calderon also stepped up his game last week averaging 12.5 points and 10.3 assists per game.  He had 13 & 14 helpers in back-to-back games.  On the season he’s averaging over seven assists a night.

F
Jamario Moon
- The rookie is averaging 8.7 ppg and 6.6 rpg while shooting 45% from the field with 1.6 blocked shots and 1.3 steals per game.  Last week he stepped up to 9.3 ppg  and 7.8 rpg.  Not bad for a small forward.

Marko Jaric – Jaric is an interesting fella.  He plays three positions and is dating Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima.  He also has picked up his play with the Timberpuppies.  Last week he averaged 16 points, 2.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and a block a game while shooting 54.2% from the field and 75% from the line.  Plus, he qualifies as both a guard and a forward.

C
Andray Blatche
- Here’s a guy who qualifies at small forward, power forward, an center.  Last week he averaged 12.4 points, 7.8 boards, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game.  He’s not real consistent, but if you’re in a league where you can change your roster daily, his versatility is nice.

I’d say Marko Jaric has IT going on. It takes skill to play three positions and feel comfortable enough that Derek Jeter won’t steal your lady friend away.
