Fantasy Hoops Waiver Wire Bin Vol. 6

Dec 11, 2007

I scoured the fantasy baskeball waiver wires to find gems so you don’t have to.

Anthony Parker - Parker stepped up his game last week averaging 15.3 points and 2.3 steals per game.  He added 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists.  He didn’t miss a free throw and shot 55.9% from the field.  He also qualifies as a small forward

Francisco Garcia - Garcia scored 13.8 points per game to go along with the 2.3 steals he averaged.  He shot 51.5% from the field and 93.8% from the charity stripe.  He also knocked down 1.5 three per night.  He qualifies as both SG & SF.

Shane Battier - Shane hasn’t done much this year, but last week he was decent in several categories.  He shot 56.5% from the floor and didn’t miss a free throw.  He made 2.3 threes per night.  He averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks, and only 0.5 turnovers.

James Posey - The new Big 3 get so much attention, there isn’t much ink left for anyone else on the Celtics.  However, Posey is coming off a solid week.  He shot 54.5% from the field and 85.7% from the line.  He made 2.7 threes a night.  He averaged 12.7 points, 6.3 boards and 1.7 assists.  He only had 0.3 blocks and steals per game, but he also only turned it over that amount.  He qualifies as SG & SF.

Brendan Haywood
- He started strong and quickly cooled.  Well, Haywood makes his second appearance in the Waiver Wire Bin as he is coming off a very solid week.  He shot 75% from the field and 91.7% from the line.  Those are ridiculous numbers.  His 13.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks were also pretty solid.  He only had 0.7 turnovers a night, which is a plus.

Well, that’s it from the Waiver Wire Bin.  Free free to leave your comments.
