Fantasy Hoops Waiver Wire Bin Vol. 12

Jan 22, 2008

I scoured the fantasy baskeball waiver wires to find gems so you don’t have to.

Kareem Rush - With Jermaine O’Neal hurt, Rush has taken advantage of an opportunity to handle more of the scoring load.  In his last three games he’s averaging 22.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 4.0 three-pointers per game.  He’s also shot 58.7% from the floor.

Jordan Farmer - Another player who’s seen an increase in his scoring role because of an injury (Andew Bynum) is Jordan Farmer.  In his last three games he’s scoring 15.7 points with 1.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.7 three-pointers per game.  He’s shooting 57.6% from the field during that stretch.  He qualifies as both PG & SG.

Keynon Martin
- Martin makes a return appearance in the  Waiver Wire bin.  He finished 2007 quietly, and didn’t get going in 2008.  He returned from missing three games with a 36 minute, 16 point on 8 of 11 shooting (72.7%), 11 rebound, 2 steal, 1 block game against the Lakers.

Sean Williams - Sean has stepped it up over the last three games, scoring in double-digits each game.  He’s averaging 13.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks during the stretch.  He’s shooting 65.4% from the floor, which helps you forgive his 62.5% free-throw shooting.  He qualifies as both PF & C.

Jeff Foster
- Jeff Foster has also had to step up his game in Jeramine O’Neal’s absence.  He’s responded with double-digit reboudns in each of his last three games.  Over that stretch, he’s averaging 7.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, a surprising 4.0 assists, and 1.3 steals.  He’s shooting 50% from the floor and a tolerable 69.2% from the line.  He qualifies as both PF & C.

Well, that’s it from the Waiver Wire Bin.  Free free to leave your comments.
