Fantasy Hoops Waiver Wire Bin Vol. 19
Matt Carroll - Carroll has thrived while Gerald Wallace has been sidelined with a concussion. Wallace should be back soon, but Carroll has proven he’s worthy to be an important part of the rotation. In his last four games he’s averaging 17.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 3.8 three-pointers per game while shooting 46.8% from the field and 85.7% from the line. He qualifies at both SG & SF.
Nate Robinson - Nate was great for a stretch earlier this year before getting hurt. He’s back in a big way. His 45 point outburst opened plenty of eyes. Unfortunately they had to witness the 2-14 shooting he followed it up with. In any hoo, Nate is still playing good basketball. In his last four games he’s averaging 21.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.6 three-pointers per game. He’s shooting 47.6% from the field and 89.5% from the charity stripe. He qualifies at both PG & SG.
Charlie Villanueva - Charlie has rebounded nicely from the 2-15 shooting he started March with. In his last three games he’s averaging 24.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 0.7 steals, 1.0 block, and 1.3 three-pointers per game. He hit 48.4% of his shots without missing a free throw. He qualifies at both SF & PF.
Jared Dudley - What a name. It makes me simultaneously think of that Subway clown and Arnold’s best friend on Diff’rent Strokes. Lately the name has also made me think of fantasy relevance. In fact, in his last five games he’s averaged 10.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.8 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 0.8 three-pointers per game. He’s shot 48.7% from the line and 85.7% from the floor. “Wha’choo talkin’ ’bout, Dudley?” I’m talking about the 18 boards he grabbed against Golden State last Wednesday. He qualifies at both SF & PF.
Joakim Noah - So what if he looks like a taller version of Sideshow Bob, as long as he keeps rebounding like he is, he’s welcome on my team. In his last three games he’s averaging 12.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steal per game. He shot 53.8% from the floor and 90.9% from the line. Noah grabbed 20 boards last Thursday against Cleveland.
