Fantasy Hoops Waiver Wire Tip – Anthony Randolph
Most leagues have Waiver Wire Prowlers. They snatch players up the moment they show a glimmer of hope. They are the owners who scored Linas Kleiza when Carmelo Anthony went down. They nabbed Rodney Stuckey when Chauncey Billups got dealt.
I’m hoping to help you stay ahead of the curve with Anthony Randolph. With Brandan Wright (shoulder) sidelined for three weeks, Randolph will have the opportunity to showcase the abilities that made him Golden State’s #14 overall pick out of LSU. He was effective in 14 minutes of play on Wednesday scoring 8 points on 4 of 6 shooting with two boards and a block. If he can get to the 20 minute mark, he could be useful in Daily Leagues. In games in which he’s played at least 20 minutes he’s averaging 9.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks. Sure, he’s not going to carry your team, but if you need help in rebounds and blocks, Randolph has value.
He qualifies at SF & PF and is owned in 1% of Yahoo and 0.4% of ESPN leagues.
