I can’t buy into voting for Theriot to start as the NL shortstop. I know he’s hitting .312, but his peripherals are purely mediocre. In fact, Hanley Ramirez’ numbers are pretty even in R, RBI and SB, with 5 HR (to Theriot’s 3). He’s also hitting .303.

I’d definitely give my vote to Hanley.

    Theriot – .312, 16 R, 3 HR, 15 RBI, 6 SB
    Hanley – .303, 15 R, 5 HR, 15 RBI, 3 SB

Pretty even numbers if you ask me. Hanley had my first two votes, and he’ll likely get more, but right now I showed Theriot some love.
