Get ‘em or Don’t Sweat ‘em Week 10

Nov 12, 2007

Each week there are some surprising fantasy performers.  I’m going to take a look at them and see if you should go get ‘em or not.

Rex Grossman – Sure, he came in and led the Bear victory.  However, you remember his poor decisions.  He won’t help your team.
Ruling – Don’t Sweat ‘em.

RB
Chester Taylor – If Adrian Peterson can’t go, Chester isn’t a bad substitute.  He’s not going to put up AP numbers, but he’ll be solid.
Ruling – Get ‘em.
Greg Jones – He scored two touchdowns last week.  I don’t expect him to repeat.
Ruling - Don’t Sweat ‘em.

WR
Mark Clayton – He grabbed 8 balls for 107 yards.  They face Cleveland next week, so you could see a repeat performance.
Ruling – Get ‘em.
James Thrash – Scored twice last week.  Revenge may have been a factor since he played his old team.  I’m not buying it.
Ruling – Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Ruvell Martin – He also scored twice last week.  One was a fluke INT gone wrong that he lucked into.  Although he is in a pass-happy offense, there are too many WRs (Driver, Jennings, Jones, KoRo, Donald Lee) on Green Bay to trust Martin.  Not to mention, an increased rushing attack.
Ruling – Don’t Sweat ‘em.

TE
Leonard Pope – He also scored twice last week.  He hasn’t done much this year, but his five receptions last week, and the fact that he plays Cincinnati next week leads me to believe he can have another productive outing.
Ruling – Get ‘em.
L.J. Smith & Alge Crumpler – Both have battled injuries this year.  Both scored TDs last week.  If they are available, get them.
Ruling – Get ‘em.

There you have it.  I hope I provided you some good info while you make your fantasy team waiver wire adjustments.
