Happy New Year’s

Dec 31, 2007

It  was an interesting year.  The Mitchell Report dominated the baseball world.  It wouldn’t have been a memorable year for me had the Red Sox not won the World Series.  Colorado had a heck of a run and A-Rod had an amazing season.  Scott Boras looked like a jerk, which I enjoyed.

The NFL season was great for me being a Patriots fan, except for that little videotaping scandal.  Tom Brady and Randy Moss lit the NFL on fire.  Cleveland came out of nowhere.  It was a shame they missed the playoffs.  Washington overcame so much to make it in the playoffs.  Joe Gibbs looked like the game had passed him by until a late season surge.  Brian Westbrook was a beast.  LT was LT.

The NBA ended with another Spurs title.  They play the game the right way, and can beat almost any style of play.  The only thing they can’t do is get eyes glued to the TV even when LeBron in making his NBA Finals debut.  The Celtics are relevant again thanks to former teammated Kevin McFail and Danny “Thank for saving my job” Aine hooking up.  Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen have the Celtics looking tough.

Anaheim took home the Stanley Cup, but Sid the Kid proved that he’s the future.

Florida was crowned champion in both football and basketball this year.  Heck of a run for the Gators.

Hope you had a great year, and I hope you have an even better one this year.
