Jamal Crawford Close to Becoming a Hawk

Jun 24, 2009

ESPN is reporting that the Golden State Warriors are sending Jamal Crawford to the Atlanta Hawks for Acie Law and Speedy Claxton.  For Golden State the move makes sense financially as they save money and clears a logjam as they have Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Corey Maggette, Kelenna Azubuike, Anthony Morrow (team option), and Marco Belinelli handling the PG, SG, and SF positions.

Atlanta adds a prolific scorer who can play either guard position.  If the Hawks are unable to agree to terms with Mike Bibby, Crawford can slide into that role.
