Jorge Posada Placed on the 15-Day DL

The Yankees suffered another setback when Jorge Posada went on the 15-Day DL because of a strained hamstring.  With the imminent return of A-Rod and the circus atmosphere that will bring, Posada’s presence will perhaps be missed more in the Clubhouse than on the field.  The 37-year old Catcher is hitting .312 with 10 Runs, 5 HRs, and 20 RBIs.

Jose Molina slides into the starting spot with Francisco Cervelli being called up to be his backup.  Molina is hitting .257 with 2 Runs, 1 HR, and 5 RBI in 13 games.  Cervelli was hitting just .190 with 2 HRs and 7 RBI for Triple-A Trenton.  He hit .315 for them last year though.  Neither have much fantasy value.

Here we go again. The Yankees are starting to sink badly. I can see a 5th place finish the way things are going. It is time for the yankees to clean house in management. From President to GM to Manager and alot of players and start over like they did in 1990.

I think you may be right. That or it’s early and don’t panic.
