LenDale White – Sit or Start Tonight?

With Tennessee playing the early game, you could find yourself in a tough spot when deciding your RB2 for the opening week.  LenDale White is a decent spot start most weeks, but he’s facing a tough Pittsburgh Defense.  He did manage to score against Pittsburgh in Week 16 last year when he ran for 48 yards on 15 carries (3.2 ypc).

The Steelers are also likely short-handed with LB Lawrence Timmons doubtful for tonight’s game.  Even without Timmons, Pittsburgh still presents a big challenge for Tennessee’s rushing attack.

If you’re relying on Pierre Thomas, Jonathan Stewart, and/or Knowshon Moreno to be your RB2 this week, without any other viable options going on Sunday, I suggest you plug in LenDale and take the safe route.  However, if you have Chester Taylor, Fred Jackson, Cedric Benson, or even Mike Bell, I would use those options over LenDale.
