Lester’s Blue Line Specials Volume 13
I bring you the final Blue Line Special of the season. Maybe they can help you in your fantasy playoffs. Maybe they can help you move up in the rankings in your salary cap fantasy hockey (Sporting News offers this). Maybe they can help you score at the bar. Not really, just thought I’d throw that in there.
Derek Roy - Roy makes a return to the Blue Line Specials. He’s already owned in regular leagues, but he’s a great addition for salary cap leagues. He has 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) in his last six games (1.83 points per game) and 18 points (7 goals, 11 asssists) in his last thirteen (1.38). In his first sixty-six games he had had 61 points (0.92). He has at least a point in his last six games. In the Sporting News league he is a reasonable value at $4.74 million.
Jason Pominville - Pominville is another good value. He’s going for $4.81 million on Sporting News. He has 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) in his last six games (1.83) and 19 points (9 goals, 10 assists) in his last thirteen games (1.46). In his first seventy games he had 65 points (0.93). He’s scored a point or more in his last five games.
Filip Kuba - Kuba not only has a sweet last name, he’s been hot lately. He has 5 points (2 goals, 3 assists) in his last three games (1.67). In his sixty-six games he had 24 points (0.36). He’s an absolute steal with a value of $1.33 million on Sporting News.
Jonas Hiller - He’s the infamous 4th Jonas Brother. OK, I made that up. He probably doesn’t have a huge following of 8-14 year old girls. What he does have going for him is extreme value in the salary cap league. He’s valued at $0.57 million. That’s only $0.57 million more than me, and I don’t even play hockey let alone goalie. Enough of the jokes already. What isn’t a joke is the 3-1 record, 1.23 GAA, and 96.4% save percentage he’s produced in his last four games. In his first 18 games he was 6-5 with a 91.1% save percentage. On the season he has a 2.09 GAA.
