Lester’s Blue Line Specials Volume 4
Need some help with your fantasy hockey team? You’ve come to the right place. Try these hot players on for size.
Peter Mueller - Mueller has scored at least a point in his last seven games racking up four goals and 7 assists during the stretch (1.57 points per game). Before the hot streak he had 19 points in forty games (.475). I’d say the rookie is catching on.
Todd Bertuzzi - Bertuzzi has returned to form with 12 points in his last seven games (1.71). He’s tallied multiple points in four of those games, including a pair of three point games. He had 16 points in his first 31 games (.52). Let’s just hope he doesn’t cheap shot anybody.
Ed Jovanovski - Ed has already tied his season high for points since the 2002-2003 season with 33. Scoring 12 points in his last 14 games (.86) has helped. In his first thirty-three games he had 21 points (.64). He’s been even hotter lately, scoring in five of his last six games (8 points or a 1.6 average).
Johan Holmqvist - Holmqvist has won his last four starts to improve to 17-13 (.567). His Goals Against Average during that stretch is 1.50, which is nearly half of his 2.90 season average. His Save Percentage is .945, which is much better than the .885 Save Percentage he had in his first 33 games. He recorded his only two shutouts back-to-back on January 18th & 19th vs. Pittsburgh & Ottawa.
