Apr 29, 2008

Time for the 20th installment of the NFL Free Agent Report.  Click here for a link to earlier reports.

Updating a previous report, the Pacman Jones deal was OK’d by the league.

Michael Roos
Knowing the value of a Left Tackle, Tennesse signed theirs to a six-year deal worth $43 million.  He hasn’t missed a start in three years with the Titans.  Vince Young and LenDale White are happy with this development.  Roos is 6’7″ and 315 lbs.

Ian Scott
Carolina added depth to their defensive front by signing DT Ian Scott.  He’s listed at 6’3″, 302 lbs.  He missed all of last year with a knee injury.

L.J. Shelton
The Chargers added to their offensive line by signing veteran L.J. Shelton to a two-year deal.  He’s a monster at 6’6″, 345 lbs, and can play either tackle or guard.  LT is happy.

Darwin Walker
Carolina beefed up their defensive front by signing Walker (6’3″, 294 lbs) to a one-year deal.  He had 17 tackles and a sack last year for Chicago.  He has 28.5 career sacks.

Fred Weary
The Guard re-signed with Houston.  He was one of the original players. He signed a one-year deal after the Texans didn’t draft a Guard in last weekend’s draft.  He’s listed at 6’4″, 308 lbs.

Not a lot of exciting moves, but teams are taking care of their offensive and defensive lines.
