NFL Free Agent Report Vol. 8

Mar 11, 2008

Time for the seventh installment of the NFL Free Agent Report.  Click here for a link to earlier reports.

Warrick Dunn
Who says you can’t go home?  After Atlanta cut Dunn, he made his triumphant return on Monday.  He signed a two-year deal worth $6 million.  He won’t be tabbed as the starter, but will take over when Cadillac gets hurt again.

Larry Fitzgerald
Turns out Fitzy isn’t going anywhere.  The Cardinals locked him up with a four-year $40 million deal.  When you consider his productivity (two 1400 yard, 10 TD seasons already) and the amount Berrian (six years, $42 million) and Javon Walker (six years, $55 million), I’d say this was a bargain.

Trent Green
Trent returns to St. Louis with his three-year $8.9 million deal.  I am hoping that Bulger stays healthy because Green doesn’t need any more concussions.  He will be a great mentor.  His health just worries me.

Trent Green got a pretty sweet deal. I doubt he’s going to see much action. And to get nearly $3 million a year for carrying a clipboard sounds like great work to me.

I owned him last year for the first few weeks because I was convinced he could still play. But the concussions just killed him.

Yeah, I used to get Green when he would have quiet 4000 yard seasons. It’s a shame. I just wish he’d quit so he doesn’t do serious harm.
