A lock to win the same as a lock to lose, you’re just picking the opposite team. so NE is a lock to win this week… what is a the logic here?

    December 22nd, 2009 at 1:02 pm #

It’s like two different Survivor or Suicide leagues. Each week I pick one to win and one to lose without using the same game.

My lock to win this week is Green Bay. My lock to lose is Jacksonville.

    I’m not following your comment.

Do you suggest benching Jamaal Charles in week 16 in favor of Jacobs or F-Jax. My #1 starter is S-Jax. Big decision this week whether to start Schaub or Warner and 2 WR’s from Boldin,Marshall, and Austin. Any ideas??

  5. LestersLegends
    December 22nd, 2009 at 6:51 pm #

Both Jacobs and F-Jax are sharing with Bradshaw and Lynch respectively so I’d roll with Charles’ hot hand.

Don’t think you can go wrong with either QB, but I’d lean Warner.

    I’d go Boldin and Marshall.

    Hi Lester,here we go:
    I need 2 RB’s from S.Jax,J.Charles,Addai,Forsett and Maroney.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks.

  7. LestersLegends
    December 22nd, 2009 at 7:53 pm #

A lot of solid choices. I’d start by bumping Forsett. I’m a little nervous about how much Addai and the Colts offense is going to get used. Therefore I’d bench him.

I like Maroney this week, but I’d probably end up going with the guys who got you there: Sjax and Charles.

Thanks on the RB’s insight[love it].

    One more please.
Romo @ Washington or Young vs SD?

  9. Terry

Ben,Tony or Vince for all the money?

  10. LestersLegends
    December 22nd, 2009 at 9:57 pm #

Gotta take Tony in both instances. SD is playing great football, and I just can’t bring myself to use VY over such good alternatives. Big Ben was a monster last week, but Ward is banged up and I don’t see that one being such a shootout.

    Do you want more interesting?
Joe DeCamillis has been around a few kickers that have played a long time in the NFL Draft (Jason Elam, Morten Andersen) and he believes Nick Folk will be one of them, too.
The Cowboys cut Folk Monday after missing 10 field goal attempts this year and signed Shaun Suisham.
“He works his craft the way you’re supposed to work it, so it was a difficult decision obviously,” DeCamillis said. “You don’t want to see anybody struggle and he was struggling. I think he even knew it. I’ve got the utmost respect for him, wouldn’t surprise me if he started kicking well again the league. He just kind of went into a little funk and unfortunately we couldn’t get him out of it. It’s disappointing on my part because you hppe to do something to revive it and get him going in the right direction and it just didn’t happen.”
Merry Christmas! And have a good time!

Morning Lester, I am in the main championship… Have two big decisions.. Need one QB Romo or Favre, both are not at the top of most lists. I am leaning towards Farve since the December mind bug is off his back. Second is my DST, need one. I have the Colts, Cowboys and can get Patriots, Redskins, Falcons or Dolphins. What is the best DST matchup?
Have Merry Christmas and thank you for your insight.

  14. LestersLegends
    December 23rd, 2009 at 10:29 am #

I like Romo over Favre. I just can’t trust Brett at this point.

I like the Falcons D the best. They are still in it and Buffalo is hurting at QB.

Merry Christmas to you as well and good luck!

Please send me your picks done by the spread. Would you go with (RB’s) Stewart, Moats, or the kid from Detroit Morris? Morris and Stewart had big games Moats hurt me. If williams plays for Carolina do I still play Stew? I want my backs to get the rock.
Thanks for all the hard work,
    Reido

I agree… start Romo after Eli made teh Redskins look like a joke yesterday but I wouldn’t start the Falcons defence as the Jets run game could simply take over.. honestly I’d go Romo, Cowboys DST due to the fact Washington can’t score points.. they have such a brutal offense..

Hi Lester, hope Santa was good to you.
    Please help me with WR’s.
I’m starting R. Moss and S. Smith[NYG]as for my third one which one you would pick from A.Collie,J.Cotchery.S.Breaston and J,Avant?

PS. There’s no such thing as easy pick.

    Thanks again.

  23. LestersLegends
    December 26th, 2009 at 12:21 pm #

I’d probably go with Collie. He’s the most likely to score. Breaston has disappeared. Cotchery is a decent option.

Week #16 semi final game new decisions to make. Schaub or Warner pick 2 S-Jax, F,Jax, Jacobs, or Charles. Pick 2 Boldin, Marshall, or Austin. Hartley or Kris Brown. Thanks for your help.

  25. LestersLegends
    December 26th, 2009 at 2:49 pm #

I like warner, sjax, charles, boldin, marshall, hartley

  26. Wayne Merritt
    December 26th, 2009 at 4:01 pm #

Thanks Lester for your help. I like Warner to but he has struggled the last 2 games. Warner didn’t exactly light up the Lions like I thought he would do last week. I was hoping for a 300yd/3TD day.

  27. LesterLegends

Good Morning Lester. One KICKER QUESTION.
    Carpenter or Gostkowski?

After that my lineup will set for the Big Game.
Thank you again.Have a great day.

  29. LestersLegends
    December 27th, 2009 at 9:58 am #

Houston has allowed just 16 FGs on the year compared to 21 for the Jags. Gostkowski has kicked two more FGs and 7 more PATs.He’s also made 16 of his 24 FGs at home. All signs point to Gostkowski, and since weather shouldn’t be much of a factor, I say roll with him.

    Hi Lester,good morning.
My starters RB’s for the week is R. Rice and J. Charles.
On the bench I have J. Harrison and R. Willians with better match ups.
Would you sit one of my starters in favor of any of my reserves?

  33. LestersLegends
    September 11th, 2010 at 7:21 pm #

I would probably go with Harrison over Charles this week, but that could go either way.

  34. bababoo-e
    September 23rd, 2010 at 3:48 pm #

    Hi Lester.
I got C. Benson in a trade this week, would you start him over
    J. Charles?

  35. LestersLegends
    September 23rd, 2010 at 4:41 pm #

I would go with Benson. He’s the clear starter while Charles is sharing with Thomas Jones.

  36. bababoo-e
    September 23rd, 2010 at 4:57 pm #

    Thanks Lester, Will do.
    One more question please.
DST I have the Jets @ Dolphins and Giants playing at home
    against TEN.
Normally I like My DST playing at home, but the Jets seems
    to have a better defense.
    What is your thoughts?

  37. LestersLegends
    September 23rd, 2010 at 5:25 pm #

I agree with you there as well.

  38. bababoo-e
    September 24th, 2010 at 5:07 pm #

Hey Lester, the other guy backed up on the trade,so I had to give
    C. Benson back, but I got M. Tolbert who probably will start game 3
I’m planning to use him over J. Charles.
    What do you think?

P.S. Thanks for always been there.

  39. LestersLegends

    Good morning Lester.
    I’m hoping you respond before 1:00 O’clock.
Two decisions: R.Rice banged up @ PIT or Tolbert?
    A. Johnson game time decision @ 4:00 or D. Henderson or
    D. Thomas?
Either way nothing look good, but I have to give myself a chance.
    Thank you.

    Jets or Seahawks?

  43. LestersLegends

    Hey Lester,how are you?
One guy in my league dropped M. Schaub, should I
drop C. Palmer and pick him up?
They both sucks right now,but I’m not sure schedule wise.
My other QB. is K. Orton.

  51. LestersLegends
    October 14th, 2010 at 12:38 pm #

It’s crazy how good Orton has been.

Schaub’s schedule is a little tough:

    6 Oct 17 KAN
    7 bye
    8 Nov 1 @ IND
    9 Nov 7 SDG
    10 Nov 14 @ JAC
    11 Nov 21 @ NYJ
    12 Nov 28 TEN
    13 Dec 2 @ PHI
    14 Dec 13 BAL
    15 Dec 19 @ TEN
    16 Dec 26 @ DEN

    Palmer’s
    6 bye
    7 Oct 24 @ ATL
    8 Oct 31 MIA
    9 Nov 8 PIT
    10 Nov 14 @ IND
    11 Nov 21 BUF
    12 Nov 25 @ NYJ
    13 Dec 5 NOR
    14 Dec 12 @ PIT
    15 Dec 19 CLE
    16 Dec 26 SDG

I may be quicker to get Schaub because Andre Johnson should get healthier and Owen Daniels could eventually round into form.

    Hey Lester,how are you?
    What’s your insight on S. Breaston?,Should I pick him
    up off wavers?
If so I’ll have to drop one between M. Willians[SEA]
    D. Driver or D.Bess I also have R. Rice[not sure if he's coming
back]might be a good sign now that Moss is out.
    Who should I drop?

  53. bababoo-e
    November 1st, 2010 at 2:36 pm #

    Sorry I meant S. Rice.

  54. LestersLegends
    November 1st, 2010 at 2:54 pm #

    Doing OK. Hope you’re well.

I would definitely keep M. Williams. I don’t see it as a major upgrade over driver or bess. rice is a tough one. he still seems to be a long way away and if they don’t start turning things around there won’t be a reason to bring him back.
