I sure hope you’re wrong about the Bears-Texans game. The Bears did take advantage of the home-cooking to stay alive in the playoffs, but Houston is a good team. They can’t start out slow like they did on Monday night either. I’m hoping for help as well, and we’ll see how the crazy season unfolds in the remaining week!

The Bears do seem to be a team of destiny. I’m pulling for the Vikings though.

Nothing in the NFL is a sure thing, but I hear you knocking. I think Philly will play spoiler. At least a guy can dream.

I think that the patriots will be 11-5 and shut out this year because the X factor in the Jets/Dolphin game is Chad Pennington, I think he will have a Marino type game with 450 Yards and 5 Touchdowns as the Jet fans chant his name while the Dolphins beat my Jets 41-13.
Also Balt beats Jax to end the Patriots hopes.
That will cause a change for next year in the playoffs as the NFL adds 2 more teams to the playoffs (8 Teams in each conference)

I have a bad feeling that will happen. I’m picking with my heart and not my head. We’ll see. I’m a huge Jets fan today.

8 would be interesting, but I think too many. It seems too many in the NBA.

I agree that 8 is too many but I think $$$ will rule the day and the NFL will say they do not want to have a 11-5 team out with a 8-8 team in. However there will be years like just last year when the NFC had 3 8-8 teams out and 2 of them would have been, and in 2004 would have had an 8-8 team in and a 7-9 team in. Also in 2001 a 7-9 team would have been in.

Totally agree with you Larry. Money will be a big factor. You’d have more teams in the hunt down the end too. I would prefer 8 playoff teams than extending the regular season.
