No Mo’ Powe

As if Repeat Road wasn’t treacherous enough for the Boston Celtics, they just veered into another major pothole.  According to a Boston Globe report, Leon Powe will join Kevin Garnett on the Celtics’ sidelines because of a torn ACL.  Without KG, the Celtics’ front court could hardily afford to lose one of their key Bigs.  Mikki Moore will likely log more minutes in Powe’s absence.  They will also use more smaller lineups with Eddie House and Stephon Marbury playing larger roles.

I said at the time that it would have made more sense for the Celtics to go after Joe Smith or Drew Gooden when they came available rather than adding Marbury.  This injury further cements that theory.
