Out on a Fantasy Football Limb Volume 10
I’m going back out on that fantasy football limb. I will pick five players I believe will score more points this week than a higher profile player. The scoring will be 6 points for rushing or receiving TD, 4 points for a passing TD, .1 points per yard for rushing or receiving and .05 points per passing yard. I will also do a Super Stretch Pick where I take a real longshot. First, I’ll recap last week.
Drew Brees 34.95 beat Matt Hasselbeck 25.6 WHICH I GOT WRONG.
Adrian Peterson 49.5 Marshawn Lynch 26.4 WHICH I GOT WRONG.
Brian Westbrook 21.5 tied Larry Johnson 21.5.
Lee Evans 22.5 beat Anquan Boldin 4.0 as I predicted.
Donald Driver 9.9 beat Reggie Brown WHICH I GOT WRONG.
Brandon Marshall 9.6 beat Roy Williams 3.6 as I predicted.
Regular Picks: 1-3-1
Super Stretch Picks: 1-0
Breakdown: QB: 0-1, RB: 0-0-1, WR: 2-1
Regular Picks: 21-23-1
Super Stretch Picks: 7-2
Breakdown: QB: 5-6, RB: 15-6-1, WR: 8-13
This Week’s Picks
Drew Brees over Peyton Manning
If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Brees beat me last week so I’ll see if he can win for me. His matchup with St. Louis is much better than Eli’s big brother against San Diego.
Priest Holmes over Cedric Benson
Man, it’s fun to see Priest getting the starting job. I hate to see LJ get hurt, but I’ve always liked Priest. Benson has been a stiff.
Larry Fitzgerald over Terrell Owens
Fitz has been coming on. He has a sweet matchup with Detroit. MeO is coming off a great game, but I the G-Men present a tougher challenge.
Santonio Holmes over Braylon Edwards
I must be nuts to go against Braylon, but I see Holmes winning this head-to-head matchup because of the difference in the defenses.
Greg Jennings over Steve Smith
Jennings has been Favre’s go-to-guy lately. Smith is downright struggling. Going against MN should be a breeze for Jennings. The QB situation has gotten so bad in Carolina that I am the emergency QB.
What did you think of my predictions? Do you have any fantasy upsets in mind? Please leave your comments.
