Out on a Fantasy Football Limb Volume 7
I’m going back out on that fantasy football limb. I will pick five players I believe will score more points this week than a higher profile player. The scoring will be 6 points for rushing or receiving TD, 4 points for a passing TD, .1 points per yard for rushing or receiving and .05 points per passing yard. I will also do a Super Stretch Pick where I take a real longshot. First, I’ll recap last week.
Drew Brees 20.3 beat Matt Schaub 13.55 as I predicted
LaDainian Tomlinson 45.5 beat Maurice Jones Drew (30.4) & Shaun Alexander (3.5) 33.9 as I predicted
Jason Wright 15.8 beat DeShaun Foster 4.9 as I predicted
MeO 14.6 (12.6 actual +2 spotted points) beat Randy Moss 11.9 WHICH I GOT WRONG.
Dwayne Bowe 4.6 beat Torry Holt 3.3 as I predicted
Tony Romo 17.85 beat Kurt Warner 1.05 WHICH I GOT WRONG.
Regular Picks: 4-1
Super Stretch Picks: 0-1
Breakdown: QB: 1-1, RB: 2-0, WR: 1-1
Regular Picks: 16-14
Super Stretch Picks: 4-2
Breakdown: QB: 5-3, RB: 11-4, WR: 4-9
This Week’s Picks
Jeff Garcia over Ben Roethlisberger
Jeff gets to square off against Detroit. They suck against the pass. Big Ben may have Hines Ward back, but going up against Denver won’t be easy.
Shaun Alexander over Frank Gore
Last week I knocked SA down by, this week I’m picking him up. He’s been struggling the past couple of week’s. St. Louis is just what he needs to get back on track. Gore gets to face a suddenly potent Giants defense.
LenDale White over Marion Barber III
LenDale probably won’t have to split carries with Chris Brown. I think he has a decent game against Houston. MB3 has to share with Julius Jones, play second fiddle to the passing attack, and oh yeah, face a tough Minnesota run defense.
Joey Galloway over Roy Williams
Garcia has to pass to somebody while burning the Lions. Roy will be locked up with Ronde Barber.
Patrick Crayton over Larry Fitzgerald
MeO and Witten will draw the attention. Crayton will reap the rewards. Fitz will have Rattay or a busted up Kurt Warner throwing to him. Can you say long day?
Kevin Walter over Marvin Harrison
Walter is coming off a huge game. Houston is still short receivers, which means they’ll call his name often. Marvin is still a little banged up and facing Jacksonville.
What did you think of my predictions? Do you have any fantasy upsets in mind? Please leave your comments.
