May 3, 2010

Here are some pitchers you can plug into your lineup today.

Brett Cecil, Toronto Blue JaysCecil is 3-1 with a 3.55 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP. He has 11 Ks in his two starts (12-2/3 IP). He’s got a good chance to add to his solid start against the Indians.
Result:  Win, 8 IP, 1 Run, 10 Ks

Cesar Valdez, Arizona Diamondbacks
If you really want to take a flier on a guy, grab Valdez. He’s making his Major League debut against the Astros. He’s 1-1 with a 3.80 ERA, a 1.18 WHIP, and 25 Ks in 23-2/3 IP for Triple-A Reno. Houston’s pretty much a Triple-A team so he should do just fine.
Result:  Win, 5 IP, 1 Run, 2 Ks

Today’s Totals:  2-0, 13 IP, 2 Runs, 12 Ks
Yesterday’s Streamers:    1-1, 17 IP, 6 Runs, 12 Ks
Season Totals:   16-15, 270-2/3 IP, 103 Earned Runs (3.42 ERA), 182 Ks
