Had a trade question that I was somewhat up in the air about.

I have been offered Chris Davis for Joe Mauer. I am reluctant to give up Mauer as it is a 2 catcher league and he is C eligible.

I am in need of some power, hopefully Davis won’t be out too long and will be able to contribute. This is a H2H points league, so not too worried as long as I make the playoffs.

I have Yan Gomes as my other catcher and just picked up Wilson Ramos as a second if I do trade Mauer away. Mesoraco is also available on waivers and could claim him as well.

My other 1B are Ortiz, CIHosmer and using Yelich as my Utility spot.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

That seems like a solid deal to get you power. Mauer isn’t providing it. Davis is hurt, but Mauer has an injury history as well. Playing first should help. I’d maybe see what else was out there before pulling the trigger.
