May 15, 2010

Here are some pitchers that you can plug into your lineup today.

Mitch Talbot, Cleveland Indians
Talbot won’t help you in the K department (16 Ks, 39-1/3 IP), but he could help elsewhere. He’s 4-2 with a 3.43 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP. He’s taking on the Orioles making him a decent option.
Result:  Win, 8 IP, 2 Runs, 3 Ks

Ervin Santana, Los Angeles Angels
Santana takes on the A’s. While Talbot isn’t a strikeout option, Santana is (40 Ks, 47 IP). He’s 1-3 with a 4.40 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP. He’s 10-2 with a 1.41 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in his career against the A’s.
Result:  Win, 6 IP, 2 Earned Runs, 6 Ks

Today’s Totals:  2-0, 14 IP, 4 Earned Runs, 9 Ks
Yesterday’s Streamers:  1-1, 18-1/3 IP, 12 Runs, 16 Ks

I MAY have included Livian Hernandez, but he was off today
he gave a whole 3 runs over 6, lifting the ERA to over 1.something crazy
