Quick Fantasy Baseball Streaming Options for 5/19/10

May 19, 2010

Here are some pitchers that you can plug into your lineup today.

Justin Masterson, Cleveland Indians
Masterson should help you in the strikeout department. He has 43 in 38 innings of work. He brings plenty of baggage in the form of a 0-4 record, a 5.92 ERA, and a 1.82 WHIP. Against the Royals, though, especially at home where his ERA is 4.12, it’s a calculated risk.
Result:  No-decision, 5 IP, 2 Runs, 6 Ks

Brett Cecil, Toronto Blue Jays
Cecil got completely bombed his last game out (2 innings, 8 runs), but I still like him as an option today against the Mariners. Despite his disastrous start against Texas, he is 2-2 with a 5.46 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. He also has 26 Ks in 28 IP.
Result:  Win, 6-1/3 IP, 2 Runs, 4 Ks

Today’s Totals:  1-0, 11-1/3 IP, 4 Runs, 10 Ks
Yesterday’s Streamers:  0-0, 14-2/3 IP, 7 Runs, 12 Ks
Season Totals:  27-27, 477-1/3 IP, 196 Earned Runs (3.70 ERA), 344 Ks
