With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2013 Week 10 fantasy football team defense rankings.
1. Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks rank second in the league in total defense with 296 yards per game allowed and third in scoring defense with 16.6 points per game allowed. Seattle has 29 sacks and 21 takeaways. They face the struggling Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have just 23 points in their past two games. They have turned the ball over 15 times.
2. Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans rank 11th in total defense (340.3 ypg allowed) and ninth in scoring defense (20.9 ppg allowed). The Titans have 22 sacks and have forced 15 turnovers. They take on the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags rank last in total offense (286.5 ypg) and scoring offense (10.8 ppg). They have allowed 28 sacks and have 15 turnovers. Jacksonville also lost their best player (Justin Blackmon).
3. Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts rank seventh in scoring defense (19.4 ppg allowed). They have 22 sacks and 13 takeaways. The Colts face the St. Louis Rams. The Rams rank 30th in total offense (310.3 ypg) and 23rd in scoring offense (20.7 ppg). The Rams have allowed 22 sacks and have turned the ball over 13 times.
4. Houston Texans
The Houston Texans lead the league in total defense with 273.5 yards per game allowed. They have 20 sacks The Texans take on the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards rank 29th in total offense (314.5 ypg) and 24th in scoring offense (20 ppg). They have allowed 23 sacks and have 18 turnovers.
5. San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers rank sixth in total defense (325.1 ypg allowed) and fourth in scoring defense (18.1 ppg allowed). They have forced 16 turnovers. Aldon Smith’s return could help immensely against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers rank 20th in total offense (332.8 ypg). They have allowed 22 sacks and have turned the ball over 11 times.
6. Carolina Panthers
The Panthers rank third in total defense (299.9 ypg allowed) and second in scoring defense (13.3 ppg allowed). They have 23 sacks and have 19 takeaways. The Panthers square off with the Niners.
7. Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are a mediocre defensive unit, but they have a favorable matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs rank 31st in total offense (304.3 ypg) and scoring offense (15.5 ppg).
8. Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals rank fifth in total defense (325 ypg allowed) and sixth in scoring defense (18.4 ppg allowed). They have 25 sacks and 13 takeaways. The Bengals face the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens rank 23rd in total offense (322.4 ypg) and 21st in scoring offense (21 ppg).
9. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens rank 10th in total defense (339.5 ypg allowed) and scoring defense (21.5 ppg allowed). They have 28 sacks. They square off with the Bengals. The Bengals have turned the ball over 17 times.
10. Tampa Bay Buccaneerst
The Bucs are a mediocre defensive unit, but they face a Dolphins team that is without two staring offensive lineman. The Dolphins rank 28th in total offense (315.3 ypg) and 19th in scoring offense (21.8 ppg). They have been sacked more times (35) than any other team. They have also turned the ball over 15 times.
