Despite a Pioneer Press report that Favre will meet with Dr. James Andrews to discuss surgical options to speed up his return to the NFL, ESPN’s Ed Werder is throwing a challenge flag.  Werder is saying Favre does not want surgery and would prefer to non-surgical options that would allow the tendon to “release naturally”.  The thinking is if that happens the pain will go away and Favre will be OK to carry on with the Vikings.

Don’t worry, tomorrow TMZ will report that John Madden has carved Brett Favre’s likeness in a block of cheese.  Stay tuned.

As the Favre Turns

It didn’t take long for Brett Favre to get back in the media spotlight.  ESPN’s Ed Werder and Chris Mortensen are reporting that Brett Favre had a meeting with Dr. James Andrews to discuss options for him to be able to play without surgery.  Dr. Andrews reportedly showed Brett some excerices that could allow the bicep tendon to completely tear, speeding up the recovery time.

Until next time…
