I often say that even bad teams produce fantasy players. Someone has to score, rebound, assist, etc.
.
The Charlotte Bobcats are no exception. Michael Jordan has put together one pathetic basketball team. That hasn’t kept Gerald Henderson from being a viable fantasy option.
.
On the year he’s averaging 14.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.3 blocks, 0.9 steals, and 0.3 three-pointers per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the field, 27.6 percent from behind the arc, and 68.8 percent from the charity stripe. He is playing a career high 33.2 minutes per game, and his numbers are up across the board.
.
After playing just two games in February because of a hamstring injury, he started March slow, failing to reach double-digit scoring in four of his first six games.
.
Currently he is working on a four-game stretch in double-digits, averaging 15.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.3 blocks, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 three pointers. On Saturday he hit 11 of 14 shot for 24 points, his first 20-point game since January 21st. Does it mean that he’ll start scoring 15+ points per game again? Not necessarily, but it is a good sign. He appears healthy and is trending in the right direction.
.
Henderson is owned in half of Yahoo! and 35.7 percent of ESPN leagues. He is eligible at both shooting guard and small forward so he gives you a little flexibility. If you are looking for a boost in the scoring category, Henderson can help.
