Blair Walsh
.
Here are the Lester’s Legends fantasy football kicker rankings for the Wild Card Round.
.
1. Blair Walsh, Minnesota Vikings
Walsh led the Wild Card kickers in scoring with 35 field goals and 36 extra points. He has the leg and accuracy to drill the long field goals. The Green Bay Packers allowed 26 field goals and 34 extra points.
.
2. Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens
Tucker was third among Wild Card kickers in scoring with 30 field goals and 42 extra points. The Indianapolis Colts allowed 32 field goals and 39 extra points.
.
3. Steven Hauschka, Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks’ offense is on fire. Hauschka finished with 24 field goals and 46 extra points. The Washington Redskins allowed 28 field goals and 36 extra points.
.
4. Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers
Crosby made 21 field goals and 50 extra points. He made all four of his field goals in his past two games, including a 48-yarder and a 51-yarder. His confidence should be improved. The Vikings have allowed 25 field goals and 33 extra points.
.
5. Shayne Graham, Houston Texans
Graham was second among Wild Card kickers in scoring with 31 field goals and 45 extra points. The Cincinnati Bengals have allowed 27 field goals and 33 extra points.
.
6. Adam Vinatieri, Indianapolis Colts
Vinatieri finished with 26 field goals and 37 extra points. The Baltimore Ravens allowed more field goals (37) than any other Wild Card team.
.
7. Kai Forbath, Washington Redskins
Forbath finished with 17 field goals and 33 extra points. The Seahawks allowed 23 field goals and 24 extra points.
.
8. Josh Brown, Cincinnati Bengals
Brown made 11 field goals and eight extra points in four games. The Texans allowed 21 field goals and 38 extra points.

Here are the Lester’s Legends fantasy football team defense rankings for the Wild Card Round.
.
1. Houston Texans
The Texans rank seventh in total defense with 323.3 yards allowed per game. They are tied for ninth in scoring defense with 20.7 points allowed per game. Cincinnati ranks 22nd in total offense with 332.7 yards per game, which is the lowest of all the playoff teams. They rank 12th in scoring offense with 24.4 points per game.
.
2. Cincinnati Bengals
The Texans have slipped a bit, averaging 11 points in their past two games and 16.3 in their past four. The Bengals rank sixth in total defense (319.7 ypg) and 8th in scoring defense (20 ppg).
.
3. Green Bay Packers
The Packers have been rolled over by Adrian Peterson to the tune of 409 yards in two games. The Vikings ranked 20th in total offense (336.6 ypg) and 14th in scoring offense (23.7). If Clay Matthews and company can get to Christian Ponder, they can force him into some mistakes. Ponder is coming off the best game of his career. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him take a step back.
.
4. Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks ranked fourth in total defense (306.2 ypg) and led the league in scoring defense at 15.3 ppg. Obviously the Washington Redskins have a potent offense, but the Seahawks have allowed 12 points a game during their current five-game winning streak.
.
5. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens aren’t what they once were, but I expect a little spring in their step following Ray Lewis’ retirement announcement. This could be Ray Lewis’ last home game.
.
6. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings held their own in Lambeau against the Packers, but Aaron Rodgers picked them apart in The Dome. Playing the night game in Lambeau could keep Rodgers from putting up monster numbers.
.
7. Washington Redskins
The Redskins have come a long way on defense, and they are a top-five run defense, which is Seattle’s strength. Russell Wilson has been doing an RGIII impersonation in recent weeks and Marshawn Lynch is one of the best power runner in the game. This could be a tall order for the Skins.
.
8. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts rank 29th against the run. Ray Rice is one of the most electric backs in the league. They will be emotionally charged. This could be a tough game for Indy.

Here are the Lester’s Legends fantasy football tight end rankings for the Wild Card Round.
.
1.  Jermichael Finley, Green Bay Packers
Finley finished strong, averaging 56.6 yards in his past six games. He averaged 66 yards in two games against the Minnesota Vikings. He is averaging 68 yards with two touchdowns in five career games against the Vikes.
.
2. Dennis Pitta, Baltimore Ravens
Pitta scored five touchdowns during Weeks 10-16. He averaged 75.7 yards and a touchdown during Weeks 14-16.
.
3. Jermaine Gresham, Cincinnati Bengals
Gresham’s 737 yards were the most among the tight ends playing in the Wild Card Round.
.
4. Owen Daniels, Houston Texans
Daniels struggled down the stretch, but finished with the second most yards (716) of the Wild Card tight ends.
.
5. Kyle Rudloph, Minnesota Vikings
Rudolph’s nine touchdowns are the most of the Wild Card tight ends. He had just 20 yards in Week 17 against the Packers, but had 55 yards and a score in the first meeting.
.
6. Zach Miller, Seattle Seahawks
Miller averaged 22 yards with two touchdowns in his last four games. He’s a decent option against a weak Redskins secondary.
.
7. Dwayne Allen, Indianapolis Colts
Allen and Coby Fleener give the Colts two solid tight ends. Unfortunately there isn’t enough for either to be reliable fantasy options.
.
8. Coby Fleener, Indianapolis Colts
Fleener scored last week, giving him two touchdowns in the past five game. He hasn’t had multiple receptions since Week 8.
.
9. Logan Paulsen, Washington Redskins
Paulsen had just two receptions for 14 yards in the last two games of the year. He’s not a quality option.

Here are the Lester’s Legends fantasy football wide receiver rankings for the Wild Card Round.
.
1. A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals
Green had a quiet finish to the season based on the standard he set earlier in the year, but is still an elite talent. Plus, 1350 yards and 11 touchdowns is nothing to sneeze at. The Houston Texans have been vulnerable to the pass.
.
2. Andre Johnson, Houston Texans
Johnson finished second in receiving yards with 1598. The only knock on him was the four touchdowns. Same “problem” that Calvin Johnson had. Andre averaged 143 yards in his past seven games. The Bengals ranked seventh in pass defense.
.
3. Pierre Garcon, Washington Redskins
Garcon averaged 79.2 yards in his past six games. I expect Robert Griffin III to return to form in this one, which should drive up Garcon’s value.
.
4. Greg Jennings, Green Bay Packers
Jennings scored a pair of touchdowns last week against the Minnesota Vikings, giving him three scores in two weeks.
.
5. James Jones, Green Bay Packers
Jones led the NFL with 14 touchdown receptions. He scored in both meetings with the Vikings this year
.
6. Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts
Wayne has been Andrew Luck’s security blanket all season long, and I expect that to continue in the postseason.
.
7. Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Packers
Jordy had the big 73-yard touchdown that made his day, but he was otherwise quiet.
.
8. T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts
Hilton had a touchdown and/or 100 yards in five of the past seven games. In the NFL’s second season, I think Luck relies more on Reggie Wayne.
.
9. Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers
Cobb is the most dynamic option the Packers have, but he’s the most recently injured. I’m just worried that he won’t be at full strength and Rodgers will look elsewhere.
.
10. Golden Tate, Seattle Seahawks
Tate finished strong with his first career 100-yard game in Week 17. He’s a bit of a risky option, but he has a knack for making big plays. Plus, he’s facing the Redskins’ 30th-ranked pass defense.
.
11. Sidney Rice, Seattle Seahawks
I like the matchup against the Redskins, but Rice’s knee is a small concern. He has also been relatively quiet since Week 13.
.
12. Anquan Boldin, , Baltimore Ravens
Boldin (shoulder) is a little banged up. The Colts have a mediocre pass defense. They really struggle to stop the run. I expect a heavy dose of Ray Rice in this one so the Ravens won’t have to rely heavily on the passing game.
.
13. Torrey Smith, Baltimore Ravens
Smith is hit or miss. He had eight games, not including the season finale when the Ravens rested their players, without a touchdown and fewer than 60 receiving yards. He only topped 60 yards in five games.
.
14. Santana Moss, Washington Redskins
Moss only averaged 35.8 yards per game. He scored eight touchdowns to give him some value to fantasy owners. Unfortunately, this doesn’t set up to be a good week for Moss. The Seahawks were one of three teams to allow 15 or fewer passing touchdowns. They also ranked sixth in pass defense.
.
15. Jarius Wright, Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings lack playmakers in the passing game, but Wright has 143 yards in his past two games, including 90 yards and a touchdown last week against the Packers. He’s the best bet in a weak passing game.

Here are the Lester’s Legends fantasy football running back rankings for the Wild Card Round.
.
1. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
Peterson fell just nine yards short of the NFL record with 2097 yards. The Green Bay Packers rank 17th in run defense, thanks to Peterson’s 409 rushing yards. The Vikings are committed to running the football and they clearly have success against the Pack.
.
2.  Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks
Beast Mode finished the year off with four straight 100-yard games. The Washington Redskins rank fifth against the run, but they did allow 11 rushing touchdowns.
.
3.  Ray Rice, Baltimore Ravens
Rice was able to get some rest last week. He faces the worst run defense in the NFL Playoffs. The Indianapolis Colts rank 29th in the league with 137.5 rushing yards allowed per game. They also allowed 14 scores on the ground. Rice’s yardage was virtually the same at home as it was on the road, but he scored eight of his 10 touchdowns at M&T Bank Stadium.
.
4.  Arian Foster, Houston Texans
Foster led the NFL with 17 touchdowns. It was his second time in three years leading the league in touchdowns. The Cincinnati Bengals have the 12th ranked run defense, but they did allow 13 rushing touchdowns.
.
5.  Alfred Morris, Washington Redskins
Morris rallied to finish second in the league in rushing with 1613 yards. He also finished second with 13 rushing touchdowns. The ranking is not a slight on Morris. It just so happens that five of the top six fantasy backs, along with Doug Martin, are playing in the Wild Card Round. Plus, the Seahawks have the 10th ranked run defense. They were also one of five teams to allow eight or fewer rushing scores.
.
6.  Vick Ballard, Indianapolis Colts
Ballard averaged 91.3 total yards in the last four games of the year. The Ravens have the second-worst run defense of the Wild Card teams. They were one of ten teams to have allowed 15 or more rushing scores.
.
7.  BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Cincinnati Bengals
The Law Firm is banged up and had a rough finish to the season. He missed the finale with a hamstring injury and had 14 yards on 15 carries in Week 16. The Houston Texans allowed the fewest (five) rushing touchdowns and had the seventh-ranked run defense.
.
8. DuJuan Harris, Green Bay Packers
The Packers turned to Harris in the season finale against the Vikings. He had 70 yards on 14 carries. He also caught a pair of passes for 17 yards. The Vikings rank 11th in run defense and Ryan Grant and/or Alex Green could eat into Harris’ touches depending on how the game unfolds. This is easily the most fluid of the running back situations.

Here are the Lester’s Legends fantasy football quarterback rankings for the Wild Card Round.
.
1.  Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Rodgers threw for 4295 yards and 39 touchdowns. He’s fresh off a 365 yard, four touchdown performance against the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers has ten touchdown passes in the past three games and hasn’t thrown an interception since Week 13. He’s also the most seasoned quarterback playing in the Wild Card Round.
.
2. Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins
RG3 may not be seasoned, but he is amazing. He threw for 3200 yards and 20 touchdowns with just five interceptions. He ran for 815 yards and seven more scores. The Seattle Seahawks present a difficult challenge, but I can’t bet against RG3.
.
3.  Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts
Luck set the NFL rookie record with 4374 passing yards. He threw 23 touchdown passes and added five scores on the ground. He faces a Baltimore Ravens defense that doesn’t have its usual bite.
.
4.  Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
Wilson was the third impressive rookie that really picked up steam as the season went along. He finished with 3118 yards, 26 touchdowns and just ten interceptions. He added 489 yards and four scores on the ground. The Redskins rank 30th against the pass, and were one of four teams to allow at least 31 passing scores.
.
5.  Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
Schaub is capable of a big game, but often the running game does the damage. At home he has 13 touchdowns and four interceptions (nine TDs, eight INTs on the road).
.
6.  Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals
Dalton’s 26 touchdown passes are second to Rodgers’ 39 among Wild Card quarterbacks. Only 12 of them, along with 10 interceptions, came on the road (15 TDs, six INTs at home). That’s why I give Schaub the slight edge.
.
7.  Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Flacco is the least consistent of the Wild Card quarterbacks. He finished strong, throwing seven touchdowns in Weeks 14-16. That paid dividends for fantasy owners that had to rely on him. I’d look elsewhere in NFL Playoffs fantasy leagues.
.
8.  Christian Ponder, Minnesota Vikings
Ponder had an impressive game last week against the Packers, but this time he goes on the road. He had 119 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions the last time he faced the Pack in Lambeau.
