Edwin Jackson @ Los Angeles Angels
Jackson is hit or miss, but when he’s on he can pile up the strikeouts and put zeros on the board. The Angels are among the league leaders in strikeouts, meaning Jackson is a good bet to rack up the Ks.

Wade Davis @ Baltimore
Davis quietly brings a 3-2 record with a 2.77 ERA to the table. His road ERA (2.84) is right on par with his home ERA (2.73). Davis was 1-0 with a 3.46 ERA in Camden Yards last year and 1-0 with a ten strikeout four-hit shutout there in 2009.

Clay Buchholz vs. Minnesota Twins
Buchholz has been a disappointment this year. So much so that he’s not a guaranteed start anymore. He enters today’s game 2-3 with a 4.81 ERA and an off the charts 1.78 WHIP. He gave up eight hits in his last start, but he allowed just two runs. The Twins scored nine runs, which means they’ll probably be held to three or fewer the rest of the series the way they have been hitting this year. Buchholz beat the Twins last year allowing two runs in eight innings for a 2.25 ERA. He even struck out seven batters.

Armando Galarraga @ San Diego
Galarraga hasn’t taken to his new home in Arizona yet. He comes into today’s game with a 3-2 record, a 5.46 ERA, and a 1.39 WHIP. He has had his moments though, and a start in PETCO against the Padres seems like the “perfect” opportunity to use Armando. No, I’m not predicting a perfect game. Just introducing the elephant in the room anytime Armando Galarraga is mentioned.
