LestersLegends.com » TE rankings Week 10

.
With an exciting ninth week under our belts, here are the LestersLegends 2012 Week 10 fantasy football tight end rankings.
.
1. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots
Gronk comes out of the bye with seven touchdowns. He had 104 yards and a score in the first meeting with Buffalo.
.
2. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints
Graham scored in both meetings with Atlanta last year.
.
3. Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Gates has three touchdowns in the past three games. Tampa Bay is giving up 321.1 passing yards per game.
.
4. Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Witten has 50 receptions in the past five games. He should remain very active against Philly.
.
5. Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons
Gonzo has taken a back seat the past three games, but could return to form against the Saints.
.
6. Heath Miller, Pittsburgh Steelers
Miller has six touchdowns and at least four catches in the past six games. He takes on Kansas City this week.
.
7. Owen Daniels, Houston Texans
Daniels has five touchdowns in the last six games, but has a tough matchup with Chicago.
.
8. Aaron Hernandez, New England Patriots
Hernandez sat out the London game prior to the bye so he should be ready to rock against the Bills.
.
9. Jermaine Gresham, Cincinnati Bengals
Gresham had six catches for 108 yards against Denver. He takes on the Giants this week.
.
10. Brandon Pettigrew, Detroit Lions
Pettigrew caught seven passes for 67 yards in his first meeting with the Vikings.
.
11. Brandon Myers, Oakland Raiders
Myers scored his first two touchdowns last week. He has been a steady option and should see plenty of action against Baltimore.
.
12. Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers
Davis has been quiet the past two games, but has the ability to break out against the Rams.
.
13. Dwayne Allen, Indianapolis Colts
Allen is averaging 65.5 yards the past two games. He should continue to see extra looks with Fleener out. Allen faces Jacksonville this week.
.
14. Dustin Keller, New York Jets
Keller is averaging 80.0 yards the past two games. He should be solid coming out of the bye to face Seattle.
.
15. Joel Dreessen, Denver Broncos
Dreessen has four touchdowns in the past six games making him a decent bet to score against Carolina this week.

Here’s the LestersLegends’ Week 10 2011 fantasy football tight end rankings.
.
1. Jimmy Graham @Atlanta: Leads all TEs with 791 yards. Averaging 96.3 yards with five TDs in his past seven games.
2. Antonio Gates @ Oakland: Short week scares me but he’s averaging 74.3 yards with two TDs the past three weeks.
3. Jermichael Finley vs. Minnesota: Scored in both career meetings with the Vikings who struggle against TEs.
4. Rob Gronkowski @ New York Jets: Expect a heavy dose of both tight ends against the Jets. Gronk is tied for the lead for TEs with six TDs.
5. Jason Witten vs. Buffalo: Four TDs in the past five games. Should see more looks with Miles Austin out.
6. Aaron Hernandez @ New York Jets: Scored in three straight games. Averaging 69.3 yards in three games against the Jets.
7. Tony Gonzalez vs. New Orleans: Averaging 52 ypg with five TDs.
8. Jake Ballard @ San Francisco: Averaging 61.6 ypg in his past five games with three scores.
9. Fred Davis @ Miami: Was able to play through an ankle injury and get 42 yards on four catches. Averaging 77.8 yards the past four games.

11. Dustin Keller vs. New England: Averaging 56.0 yard the past three games.

14. Owen Daniels @ Tampa Bay: Averaging 54.3 yards the past three games.

Here’s my Week 10 tight end rankings. Keep in mind that the Green Bay, Oakland, New Orleans, and San Diego are on bye.

.
1. Jacob Tamme vs. Cincinnati
2. Jason Witten @ New York Giants
3. Vernon Davis vs. St. Louis
4. Tony Gonzalez vs. Baltimore
5. Dustin Keller @ Cleveland
6. Aaron Hernandez @ Pittsburgh
7. Kellen Winslow vs. Carolina
8. Todd Heap vs. Atlanta
9. Marcedes Lewis vs. Houston
10. Brandon Pettigrew @ Buffalo
11. Chris Cooley vs. Philadelphia
12. Visanthe Shiancoe @ Chicago
13. Heath Miller vs. New England
14. Greg Olsen vs. Minnesota
15. Tony Moeaki @ Denver
.
.

Inside the numbers:

  • Color me a believer in Jacob Tamme. Peyton Manning is using him the same way he used Dallas Clark. Scary.
  • Jason Witten’s hot streak ended, but I have to imagine the whole team will give a better effort for new coach Jason Garrett.
  • Vernon Davis should come out of the bye refreshed and ready to torch the Rams.
  • Now that Aaron Hernandez had a taste of the end zone, I look for him to make a return trip against the Steelers.
  • Todd Heap (vs. Atlanta) and Marcedes Lewis (vs. Houston) should take advantage of poor pass defenses making the borderline starters TE1s this week.
