With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2013 Week 11 fantasy football tight end rankings.
.
1. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints
Jimmy Graham is averaging 89.4 yards and 1.1 touchdowns per game. He’s an elite option even against a tough San Francisco 49ers team.
.
2. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots
Rob Gronkowski is averaging 94.7 yards in three games. He should dominate the Carolina Panthers coming out of the bye, even if they are a formidable defense. Gronk is a monster.
.
3. Julius Thomas, Denver Broncos
Julius Thomas is averaging 60.8 yards and a touchdown per game. Look for Peyton Manning to use his size and athleticism against the Kansas City Chiefs physical defense.
.
4. Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers
Vernon Davis is averaging 65 yards and 0.9 touchdowns per game. He’s facing the New Orleans Saints. Colin Kaepernick will have to ramp up the passing game more than usual.
.
5. Jordan Reed, Washington Redskins
Jordan Reed is averaging 71.8 yards and 0.3 touchdowns in his past six games. He should bring it against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have allowed 306.5 yards and 1.5 touchdowns per game.
.
6. Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Antonio Gates is averaging 68 yards and 0.2 touchdowns. He’s facing the Miami Dolphins.
.
7. Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons
Tony Gonzalez is averaging 56.1 yards and 0.4 touchdowns. He’s facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He should be solid as long as his toe checks out.
.
8. Jordan Cameron, Cleveland Browns
Jordan Cameron is averaging 66.7 yards and 0.7 touchdowns. He’s facing the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have allowed 209.4 yards and 1.3 touchdowns per game.
.
9. Greg Olsen, Carolina Panthers
Greg Olsen is averaging 48.9 yards and 0.3 touchdowns. He’s going up against the New England Patriots. The Pats have allowed 232.8 yards and 1.4 touchdowns per game.
.
10. Martellus Bennett, Chicago Bears
Martellus Bennett is averaging 46.8 yards and 0.4 touchdowns. He’s facing the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens have allowed 239.7 yards and 1.8 touchdowns per game.

With an exciting tenth week under our belts, here are the LestersLegends 2012 Week 11 fantasy football tight end rankings.
.
1. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints
Graham has four touchdowns in the past three games while averaging 93.7 yards. The Raiders have allowed five tight end scores.
.
2. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots
Gronk has five touchdowns in his past three games while averaging 85 yards. They are 1-A and 1-B. The Colts have not faced an elite tight end this year. Gronk scored twice against them last year.
.
3. Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Gates has four touchdowns in his past four games. He’s back. The Broncos have allowed eight tight end touchdowns, including two to Gates in Week 6. Giddyup.
.
4. Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Witten now has 58 receptions in his pas six games. Cleveland has played tight ends well, but the volume of targets Witten sees keeps him a high-end TE1.
.
5. Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons
Gonzo was very active last week with 11 catches for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He’s a solid play against Arizona.
.
6. Jermaine Gresham, Cincinnati Bengals
Gresham is averaging 52.5 yards with 0.5 touchdowns in his past four games. He’s a solid play against the Chiefs.
.
7. Brandon Pettigrew, Detroit Lions
Pettigrew had 116 yards in his last meeting with Green Bay.
.
8. Aaron Hernandez, New England Patriots
You can hope Hernandez will play against the Colts, but make sure you have a backup plan. He caught seven passes against them last year.
.
9. Owen Daniels, Houston Texans
Daniels’ back wouldn’t allow him to play last week, but he should be ready to roll against the Jags. They are tough against tight ends though so he’s not an ideal play this week.
.
10. Greg Olsen, Carolina Panthers
Olsen is coming off a monster game with nine catches for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Tampa has allowed five tight end touchdowns, including three in the past two games.
.
11. Heath Miller, Pittsburgh Steelers
Value takes a hit against Baltimore with Big Ben out.
.
12. Scott Chandler, Buffalo Bills
Chandler has 116 yards in his past two games and five touchdowns on the year. The Dolphins are giving up 57.1 yards per game to tight ends.
.
13. Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers
Davis is averaging 33.7 yards over his past three games and has the daunting task of facing the Bears.
.
14. Dwayne Allen, Indianapolis Colts
Allen was quiet last week against Jacksonville, but is averaging 54 yards in his past three games. The Patriots have allowed six tight end touchdowns.
.
15. Dustin Keller, New York Jets
Keller has averaged 69 yards the past three games. The Jets face the Rams this week.

Inside the numbers:

  • Antonio Gates still isn’t practicing, and given his Monday Night game, it’s too much of a risk. Only keep him in your lineup if you have Randy McMichael on your roster to use in case Gates can’t go.
  • I’m more worried about Tamme’s back than I am about the Patriots stopping him.
  • Out of respect to Jacksonville’s Zach Miller’s big game, I will specify which Zach Miller I’m ranking. Miller makes a strong play against Pittsburgh, who was burned by tight end Rob Gronkowski for three scores last week.
  • Jason Witten was not in Jason Garrett’s plans last week. I’m hesitant to start him.
  • Both New England tight ends should be heavily involved as Brady looks to keep Peyton on the sidelines.
  • Tony Moeaki will likely miss the game because of a concussion so he was taken off the list. I slid Aaron Hernandez-Jermaine Gresham up a slot and added Kevin Boss.
