There were some unheralded heroes on Sunday. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.
Get ‘em
Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins: 319 yards, 4 TDs, rushing TD, consecutive 300 yard games.
Alfred Blue, RB, Houston Texans: 107 yards. Healthy again. Should see heavy workload.
Donald Brown, RB, San Diego Chargers: 104 total yards, solid option if Gordon misses time.
Rashad Jennings, RB, New York Giants: 107 yards, TD, disappointing season, but solid the past two games.
Christine Michael, RB, Seattle Seahawks: 84 yards, most effective Seattle back. Earned a start next week.
Bilal Powell, RB, New York Jets: 79 total yards, TD. Third straight game with a score. Nice PPR option.
James White, RB, New England Patriots: 77 total yards, TD. Safest RB play for NE, especially in PPR leagues.
Karlos Williams, RB, Buffalo Bills: 41 yards. Didn’t see many touches, but will likely be top option if McCoy is out
Will Tye, TE, New York Giants: 43 yards and TD, fourth straight game with 70 yards and/or TD.
Don’t Sweat ‘em
Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Minnesota Vikings: 231 yards, 4 touchdowns, 17 rushing yards and TD.
Brock Osweiler, QB, Denver Broncos:  296 yards, 3 TDs, 19 rushing yards and TD.
Cameron Artis-Payne, RB, Carolina Panthers: 93 total yards, only grab if Stewart misses again.
Mike Gillislee, RB, Buffalo Bills: 81 yards, TD, Karlos Williams will get first crack if McCoy is out.
Joey Iosefa, RB, New England Patriots: 51 yards, led NE in carries, but this is a volatile backfield.
Jermaine Kearse, WR, Seattle Seahawks:  110 yards. Second straight game with seven catches and at least 74 yards. He’s close to an add.
Jerick McKinnon, RB, Minnesota Vikings: 86 total yards, TD
Corey Brown, WR, Carolina Panthers: 51 yards, TD
Kenny Britt, WR, St. Louis Rams: 2 catches, 71 yards, TD – only 2nd TD this year and only third time topping 65 yards.

There were some unusual heroes on Sunday. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.
Rex Grossman, QB, Washington Redskins
I guess the Rex jokes can stop after he lit up Dallas for 322 yards and four touchdowns. Despite the pair of picks he threw, Rex is a decent play next week against Jacksonville.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
Josh Freeman, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Freeman threw for 251 yards and a touchdown. He added 29 yards on the ground. He now has 18 touchdowns with just six interceptions, and is a good option next week against Seattle.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
Colt McCoy, QB, Cleveland Browns
McCoy threw for 243 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Bengals. With Baltimore on deck, and Pittsburgh in the hole for leagues that play out the whole season, McCoy is simply not an option.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Kerry Collins, QB, Tennessee Titans
Collins had a solid game throwing for 237 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. He’s got five touchdown passes in his past two games, but isn’t a great option next week against the Chiefs.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
Tebow threw for 138 yards and a touchdown and ran for 78 and another score. He has an intriguing matchup next week against Houston, but I don’t have confidence in him.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em. continue reading »
