There were some unheralded heroes this week. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters
.
Get ‘em
Nelson Agholor, WR, Philadelphia Eagles – Caught 6 of 8 targets for 86 yards and a score. Is he ready for the third year leap?
Buck Allen, RB, Baltimore Ravens – 21 carries for 71 yards. Will have a big role with Danny Woodhead sidelined.
Sam Bradford, QB, Minnesota Vikings – 346 yards and 3 TDs. Plenty of weapons and good line play.
Chris Carson, RB, Seattle Seahawks – 49 total yards, playing the most snaps of the Seahawks backs. It’s a crowded backfield, but he could be worth a look.
Tarik Cohen, RB, Chicago Bears – Cohen looked explosive. He ran for 66 yards and caught 8 of 12 targets for 47 yards and a touchdown.
Kenny Golladay, WR, Detroit Lions- Caught 4 of 7 targets for 69 yards and two scores. Worth an add in case this wasn’t a fluke.
Allen Hurns, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars – Caught 3 of 4 targets for 42 yards, but is worth an add with Allen Robinson being hurt.
Jesse James, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers – Caught 6 of 8 targets for 41 yards and a pair of scores. He’s a solid TE2.
J.J. Nelson, WR, Arizona Cardinals – 5 of 6 targets for 43 yards and a score. He could see more looks with David Johnson out.
Kerwynn Williams, RB, Arizona Cardinals – 12 total yards and a touchdown. Worth a look because of David Johnson’s injury.
Kendall Wright, WR, Chicago Bears – Caught 3 of 4 targets for 34 yards, but with Kevin White now injured as well, someone has to get the targets.
.
Don’t Sweat ‘em
Travis Benjamin, WR, Los Angeles Chargers – 3 of 4 targets for 43 yard, TD.
Jared Goff, QB, Los Angeles Rams – 306 yards, TD. 117.9 passer rating. Great start for Goff though.
Demetrius Harris, TE, Kansas City Chiefs – Caught both of his targets for 15 yards and a touchdown. He’s not a feature option in the offense.
Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams – 4 of 6 targets for 76 yards and a score.
Marlon Mack, RB, Indianapolis Colts – 45 total yards and a TD. Score came in garbage time.
Russell Shepard, WR, Carolina Panthers – 2 catches for 53 yards, TD.
Trevor Siemian, QB, Denver Broncos 219 yards, 2 TDs and 19 rushing yards and a score. Only a two-QB league option or weekly league option.
Alex Smith, QB, Kansas City Chiefs – Sure he lit up the Patriots for 368 yards and four touchdowns. He is a decent backup QB as he doesn’t make many mistakes, but he won’t typically put up these types of numbers. That said, the Chiefs offense did look dynamic.
Mike Tolbert, RB, Buffalo Bills – Tolbert had 12 carries for 42 yards and a scores. He should be owned in 14-team leagues or touchdown heavy leagues.
Charcandrick West, RB, Kansas City Chiefs – Garbage time touchdown on his only carry. Only targeted once in the passing game. It’s Kareem Hunt’s show. West would be merely a handcuff.

Get ‘em
Travis Benjamin, WR, San Diego Chargers – Seven catches for 32 yards. Value on the rise after Keenan Allen injury.
Phillip Dorsett, WR, Indianapolis Colts – Solid option for deeper leagues. Four catches for 94 yards.
Will Fuller, WR, Houston Texans – Five catches for 107 yards, TD. Led Texans with 11 targets.
Chris Hogan, WR, New England Patriots – Three catches for 60 yards and a score. Will be even more attractive when Tom Brady returns.
Eli Rogers, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers – Six catches for 59 yards, TD. Nice short term option while Markus Wheaton is banged up. Can put up numbers in the slot for Pittsburgh.
Mohamed Sanu, WR, Atlanta Falcons – Already owned in large leagues, but worth considering in 10-team leagues. Five catches for 80 yards and a score. He was spotted limping so keep an eye on him.
Tajae Sharpe, WR, Tennessee Titans – Looked good in his NFL debut. Seven catches for 76 yards.
Alex Smith, QB, Kansas City Chiefs – Solid QB2. 363 yards, 2 TDs. Also ran a score in.
