Notable Changes:

  • Slopping conditions won’t help a struggling Mark Sanchez. Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards see a dip in their rankings.
  • Miles Austin gets a bump with Asante Samuel out.
  • It could get bad in Buffalo, making Steve Johnson a much less attractive option.
  • I point blank just had Nate Burleson ranked too high without cause. I came to my senses.
  • With Steve Smith and/or Hakeem Nicks set to possibly return, Manningham had to slide in the rankings.
  • Ben Obomanu (hand) is too big of an injury risk to gamble on in the fantasy playoffs.
  • Percy Harvin’s migraines are becoming too big of a risk to use the talented WR this week.

Inside the numbers:

  • Wow, did Dwayne Bowe ever let owners (myself included) down last week. I think he’ll make amends this week. Same goes for Brandon Lloyd. When you bet on NFL, you have to be ready for the rebound. Unfortunately Matt Cassel will likely miss the game so I am tempering my expectations for Bowe. As for Lloyd, without Josh McDaniels, I think he goes down a few slots too.
  • Greg Jennings has 393 yards and five touchdowns in his past three games and a date with Detroit.
  • Sidney Rice looked great against Buffalo, but the Giants present a much tougher challenge.
  • Miles Austin and Roy Williams should be more active with Dez Bryant out and Jason Witten limited by ankle injuries.
  • Earl Bennett has become Jay Cutler’s new favorite target, and thus is the best play among Chicago’s WRs against a shaky Patriots pass defense.
  • Jacoby Ford’s lone catch was a touchdown to salvage his fantasy value for those who gambled on him. He should be more productive against Jacksonville.
